Milwaukee's length KILLED us last season because we were so perimeter oriented. If Dwight can't play this is one that could get away.

11/16 Bucks at Hawks

Post#7 » by ATL Boy » Thu Nov 17, 2016 3:12 am

This team has some shades of 2014/15. The unselfish basketball was always there but they just seem to have a chip on their shoulder. Just beat a pretty decent team without two key players as the next man up stepped up.

I'm done doubting Wes Wilcox/Coach Bud as the decision making combo. THJ has blossomed, Taurean Prince flashed that all everything potential tonight, and Mike Muscala has been an absolute godsend with how he's stepped up.

Hopefully Dwight and Thabo are back on Friday for that pivotal division clash.

Edit: I'd also be remised if I didn't shout out Kyle Korver -- he struggled most of the night, but hit the two biggest 3s of the game right when Milwaukee was making its move. Still an expert marksman.

Agreed on all of that. Really really hated the THJ trade but now I am definitely eating crow. Tonight seemed like a trap game on a back to back without Dwight and Thabo. Nail biter in the fourth but glad we could pull out the win, that's what we are supposed to do. Back to 1st in the east, missed this feeling.

That Kyle 3 might have usurped the Joe 3 against Miami from the tip of the old logo's wing in terms of distance.

Different night but different crap. I like this kind of crap, huge for the confidence of this team at this point in the season.

WOW what a comeback. Easily the most important win of the young season so far. Back to .500, with just 1 game in the next six days coming up.

Schröder new career high of 33 points, 17 in the first quarter, including the clutch go-ahead bucket with 1.5 mins left in the game.

Normally I'm not a huge fan of score first PGs, but on our team of poor shooters I have no problem with Dennis seizing the initiative.

Yep. I suspect we're starting to see what Bud envisioned when he shipped off Teague and extended Dennis. The young German is trying to find that balance between scoring and playmaking that even a young Tony Parker struggled to develop more than a decade ago.

We just have to get some long-term complementary pieces to surround him. (Like a sweet shooting SG a la Devin Booker)

Mid-November, I was beginning to have doubts regarding Dennis's ability to play lead guard. No longer. He's been really good of late and still has plenty of room for improvement.
