In nba showdown for super Nintendo Tony Bennett is absolutely unstoppable I can score 100+ with him.
There has to be a spot for mash burn on this team. Eddie Jones as well. Baron Davis obviously. I'd actually leave Scottie Burrell as he was a terrific shooter. After Curry left the Hornets he was the guy everyone picked in the 3rd quarter 3 point contest for the Winn Dixie $1,000 gift card.
I think tripucka makes thiis squad as a consummate pro. I love Kenny "Sax by the Fire" G but I gotta go with BIG HOMIE Elden Campbell or Vlade for his passing and spacing. Though I was a matt Geiger fan. Anyone but zidek please.
David Wesley gotta be the 3rd PG he could gun and also play the off guard spot. Anthony goldwire for the irrational confidence off the bench heat check guy.
Darn I forgot Jason Richardson. And Sean may for the IR spot. Grrrrr coulda had Chris Paul

That team I posted wasn't my All-Time Hornets Team, just a collection of Hornets that made a semi-realistic roster of a current team that could compete with the top 4 teams in the league. I tried to keep the 1st team as my best starting 5, the 2nd unit as a team that was filled with guys who you could conceivably see as 2nd unit guys on a top 4 team, and the 3rd team filled with the jokes of Hornets past - Bennett, Mullens and Higgins - plus two great utility guys in Burrell and Gattison.
The All-Time Hornets Team definitely has Baron, Mash, Jones and Wesley included - as well as Mason, Divac and maybe Jrich, Batum. or SJax.
As for the spacing of that team, you'd have to hope that in a current league LJ could be swayed to practice and take a few more 3s (similar to what he was doing a little later in his career with the Knicks). Hell, I could even see Mourning hitting a 3 every other game. He was solid out to 20 feet. No reason to think he couldn't have moved back a few feet if pressed by his coaches.
Having Crash definitely give the team some flexibility to go smaller and move him to PF for stretches, and play with more shooters by adding Dell, but I'd save that move for in-game rather than from the tip. You could also just bring Dell in early for Crash and run Rice at the SF to add more shooting. Kemba, Dell, Rice would be a NASTY 3pt shooting group.
I think this team is at least as good as the current Spurs and Clippers and could push the Cavs in a series.
