Treadmill time. Hey at least we will be slimmer in 10 years.

Treadmill teams usually make the playoffs, maybe even 2nd round but they never contend. When are we even going to make the playoffs?

This is in regards to the upcoming emergency panic trade that will likely ensure our mediocrity. If management is smart they would take this as a sign to tank.

So basically go down the Sacramento route and continue to relay on the draft and pingpong balls that have been so great to us as of late?

Agree but they're obviously not smart.

You have a better strategy right now? It's the only hand we have with this mismatched roster.

Option B is firing the dipsh*t who assembled this mismatched roster.

Exactly. I'd start there -- he's had 4+ years, 5 lottery picks (all in the top 11), 6 first rounders total, and the Dwight trade. Then I'd trade Vucevic or Biyombo and scrap this 3 bigs experiment. Possibly trade Payton or Hezonja, too. The reality is we will probably end up in the lottery anyway, so you don't have to try to lose. Hennigan tried that strategy, and they have basically killed the franchise.

You don't need top 3 picks to win, you just need to draft well. Very few of the East's best teams are doing it primarily with top 3 picks.

Or try to build a mediocre contender and lose in the first round of the playoffs while getting the 18th pick.... At least the former option means we can land talent.

Home record really is awful this year.

Losses to the Heat, Suns and now the Nuggets to name a few.

Can we just accept that we're going nowhere fast and shouldn't pass up the opportunity of a draft like this one to get a guy we can actually build around?

We need to find a way to get Jokić from Denver.

Sacramento has struggled because 1) their management is terrible at drafting, and 2) they don't really commit to the draft. Their picks are usually in the middle of the lottery instead of the top.

The draft doesn't guarantee anything, but it gives us a better chance of getting franchise talent than any other option.

All I want for Christmas is for all members of the front office to explain to their sobbing children the reason why they have to move away from home is because Daddy sucks at his job and got fired for incompetence.

True. Being a small market team - at least we can retain who we draft. I guess you have to ask yourself, would you rather be the timberwolves (building young talent through the draft for the future) or the hornets (making the playoffs and never getting better).

1) their management is terrible at drafting - We don't currently have the best track record either.

2) they don't really commit to the draft. Their picks are usually in the middle of the lottery instead of the top - Exactly where we have and will be picking.

"The draft doesn't guarantee anything, but it gives us a better chance of getting franchise talent than any other option" - Not true. I trust Hennigans eye for talent in trades than his drafting skills.

Ibaka and Fournier had 22 and 24 through 3 quarters.... why were we running a 2-man game with AG and Biz in a close game during crunch time? We just play dumb basketball at the worst times...

Biz and Ibaka just ain't playing good defense and that was suppose to be their specialty.

Denvers bigs: 69pts 28rbds 4blks 32-46fg's = 69%
Magic Bigs: 53pts 15rbds 5blks 21-38fg's = 55%(counting Green as PF)

He is a pretty good player, very skilled. But man we have too many bigman, we need perimeter players that don't look hopeless taking a jump shot. We need some big time scoring and shot making. This team is just hard to watch. Offense is a constant cringe. If this team was part of construction company they would be awesome with all those bricks.

He can be an All Star in two years and Denver has him burried on the bench behind Nurkić. We have no such player currently.
