Re: Woj: Nets sign Spencer Dinwiddie to 3 Year Deal
Dinwiddie's facial hair is epic. Leave it. It just screams "Brooklyn Grit"
and not shocked about the high IQ comment. Dude's passing is sick.
Having Lin/Whitehead/LeVert/'Widdie gives Kenny the option to run backcourts with two ball handlers now. Kilpatrick goes back to scorer role full time, RHJ/Bojan/Harris will duke it out for SF minutes.

Can Whitehead and Dinwiddie play together?Whitehead will now have a competition at PG spot and he might lose some minutes. I guess this is a good problem to have. PG by committee.

Re: Woj: Nets sign Spencer Dinwiddie to 3 Year Deal
i remember he was leading Colorado to a impressive season carrying them as "The Mayor". He was actually mocked border lottery I believe at one point but then blew out his ACL and Colorado fell off the map without him. Will be interesting to see if he could put it together if you guys are willing to invest solid mins in him. We never really gave him the time so he probably felt like he had to impress in limited mins cause he knew he was on a extremely short leash.

What do you think about his three point shot? He shot horribly with the Pistons but was pretty good in college and D-League.

Re: Woj: Nets sign Spencer Dinwiddie to 3 Year Deal
After seeing him play against the Spurs, I've gotten pretty giddy
Looks like he's available cuz the Bulls had to waive him to sign Wade. They signed him back. Had to waive him again cuz Khris Middleton got injured and the Bucks had to trade MCW for Snell.
Then the bulls had Wade, Rondo and MCW in the backcourt, neither of them good shooter. They weren't sure about Dinwiddie's three point shooting so they went with Canaan who is a great shooter instead.
They put him in D-League and he dominated, shooting pretty well from deep as well.
Super lucky!

Re: Nets sign Spencer Dinwiddle to 3 Year Deal
So this happened on November 29th. Must have impressed the heck out of the Nets. Observed another game, still played great, signed him a few days later.
His game looks old school. Reminds me of guys like Spree, Rod Strickland, Larry Hughes, Stack, Jalen Rose, that era.
One good thing about him is that he's already had two years of NBA after three years of college, plus a little bit of being on the Bulls' roster. Should be more ready to contribute than all our other young players
One problem is that, he'll probably come off the bench. Him, iHead, Bogs and SKil all like to have the ball in their hands.
The wing rotation just got more crowded. That also means, we can play guys fewer minutes, play faster and hustle more. But we probably would do well to package two of the wing players to get a good defensive center.
Oh, and he looks wise beyond his years.

Re: Woj: Nets sign Spencer Dinwiddie to 3 Year Deal
Isn't it kinda ironic that the D-league doesn't play much D?
To be called up, wouldn't those players be better off showing defensive ability rather than trying to be some kinda offensive stars?

Woj: Nets sign Spencer Dinwiddie to 3 Year Deal
14 Points, 4 Rebounds, 1 Assist, + 4. He plays ALOT like Livingston. He would be a senior right now in college.

Re: Woj: Nets sign Spencer Dinwiddie to 3 Year Deal
He is a bit ahead of Whitehead in my book (and on my depth chart). I like Whitehead, but the PG position is so important offensively that his slight edge on defense doesn't make up for the offensive gap.
