Really? It was an ugly game. We lost to a team that shot 39%. Couldn't put them away when we were up 14 in the 2nd and up 15 in the third. Our halfcourt offense stays as a mess. It would have been nice for the guys' confidence to win two in a row. My takeaways:
1- Can't win two in a row.
2- Can't put teams away when they're playing terrible.
So overall frustrating loss for me.

+3 Bled although dumbass shot to end regulation.
+2 Chandler for board control.
+1 Tucker for defense.
-3 Knight killed momentum.
-2 Len fumbled passes and looked like his clumsy self again.
-1 Booker just needs to take better shots.

-1 Knight - He sucked in the little time he played but that also meant he only contributed a little to our loss
-2 Len - When he isn't starting, he's kind of useless
-3 Bledsoe - Sir, you're not a 3PT shooter and you didn't need a 3 in that last position to end regulation...good Lord....he's our Anti-Tank Commander but he also might be a double agent, I'm not sure yet

I feel like green text isn't needed when talking about Suns basketball. It's a given.

+3 Chandler - Great game, played his role perfectly
+2 Barbosa - Another sneaky efficient game, hopefully tonight we saw the switch of knight/him in terms of minutes
+1 Booker - 16/5/5 is a good line, saw some phenomenal effort on D tonight
-1 Bledsoe - Loved his game until the final few minutes and overtime. He has to take that game over by driving and attacking, not taking jumpshots.
-2 Len - Loved a few of his aggressive moves, hated the 4pfs and fumbled passes.
-3 Knight - I still haven't figured out how the second he hits the floor we start losing big time. Just blows my mind.

+3 Bledsoe - 2 games in a row?!?!? Someone's positioning themself to be traded!
+2 Chandler - Rebounds and defense. Why cant he be like 10 years younger?!?!?!?
+1 Tucker - He is seriously AD's Kryptonite!
-3 Knight - LMAO, all i can say is Knight is gonna Knight.
-2 Len - Here he had a chance to shine...and blew it. 1 good game out of 8 does not net you a max contract.
-1 Booker - Seriously, what happened to him? Where is the Booker that we all came to love?

Re: Nashty & Cactus: Game 24 vs Pels
+3 Chandler - 21 boards? That's gotta get first
+2 Bledsoe - he might have gotten first except that shot to end regulation was terrible. I guess Watson may have told him to dribble out and just take last shot, but he could have gotten a WAY better shot than that. Just a low iq play.
+1 Tucker - some nice 3s early but mostly because of good hustle and D on AD
-3 Knight - non factor in heavy minutes and some dumb dribble into traffic plays
-2 Len - just a non factor, but sometimes hard to be one playing with Knight
-1 Watson - something wrong when you lose a big lead like that and have a play like that to end regulation

+3 Bledsoe. He played a great game, but he was not agressive in the last play.
+2 Tucker. Amazing defense.
+1 Chandler. He made his work perfectly.
-3 Knight. Terrible......terrible.
-2 Len. One of his worse games lately.
-1 Bender. In his few minutes out there he played bad on both sides.

Re: Nashty & Cactus: Game 24 vs Pels
Hey guys so I posted that I went to the game. Unfortunately I won't be able to post much until I get back home to Portland. Looks the other mods are doing a great job without me though. At the game I was trying to talk to Mr Orange but midway thru the 2nd quarter he took off to the opposite side of the arena to sit down. He came back later to my general area in the 4th but the game was close so I didn't a chance to say whats up. I was hoping to get him to post on the board again but oh well.
Anyway for my voting...
+3 for Bledsoe - Looks really solid. I thought Booker was emerging as the leader of the team in preseason but Bledsoe took over that role a while ago. He's looking really good as a trade asset.
+2 for Chandler - Gobbled up all the boards.
+1 for LB/Tucker - LB is basically making Knight expendable. Tucker with great defense on Davis. I went into the game thinking Davis was going to score 40+ on us.
-3 for Knight - I let everyone around me know how much I dislike this guy.
-2 for Booker - He played decently well actually. But I thought there were times he looked like he was just going through the motions on offense. He never looked eager to take over or anything. Where is that x-factor that he used to have?
-1 for Watson - Didn't like his rotations at all. Why did Ulis get like 1 minute out there? Why did he sub Bender out when it looked like Knight was the one causing problems.

-3 Booker.
Time this kid starts getting some of the blame around here. He has been well below average for a starting 2 guard this year. He's one of the primary reasons our record is what it is.
And btw - at least a couple of Alex's fouls were bull****.

This pretty much sums up my problem with Knight hate at the moment. It is completely blind:
Even more hilarious is considering Bledsoe the player most responsible for the loss.

I was at the game and it really felt like he was out there a bit. I guess with him a little goes a long way. I will say he looks focused. And he was one of four guys who showed up early and took a ton of shots an hour or so before the game. The team just seems off when he is in there. He made one pass to Len and Len wasn't even looking his way. He often times looks like he has no idea what he is doing. I really think much of the Len hate comes from the fact that he is playing with Knight. I just think he's a hard guy to play with. Len plays much better with others.

Re: Nashty & Cactus: Game 24 vs Pels
+3. Tried to keep us in it. Shot too many 3s but how can you complain when the rest of the team is playing like ass?
+2. Tyson. Steady presence, nothing special but the boards are much needed.
+1 PJ. AD A non-factor again, had a lot to do with the second half defense by PJ.
-3. -Len. 2 Fouls within like 2 minutes of coming in? Made old papa Tyson do all the heavy lifting again. Consistency needed.
-2. Booker. Would have got the -3 for his terrible second half but saved himself with that steal in the back court when we badly needed it.
-1. Knight. Nothing special. Bad game. Didn't play much because of it. Definitely not a big negative influence.

I'm mainly trying to figure out why Book is such a protected species. I think it probably has something to do with fans desperate for success seeing him as the way out of this mess. He isn't. It's just going to take some time (years) for people to come to terms with that.
I'm happy to be proven wrong. I was completely wrong about LaVine and I have similar concerns defensively about Booker. You can get away with having a really bad defending 2 guard as long as your SF is long and good defensively.
Booker though,
26.6% USG%. He soaks up so much of our offense. And the production in that time is 0.510 TS%. Awful. He's had, what, 4 games shooting above 50% this season? Maybe it's 3. His job is to shoot and he's terrible at it.
Defensively, this is what he provides:
How that doesn't make him the second worst player on our team (behind Knight) is beyond me. All of our worst performing 3-man lineups (min 60 minutes played) have either Booker, Knight or Len in them. Book's individual stats are inflated because he is currently playing heavy minutes with our two best players (Tyson and Bled).

Personally I don't think Booker is that good right now. Neither are our two high picks, but I don't judge them as harshly because they are so young and I will give them time. If they get to Knight's age, and haven't made drastic improvements, then I would judge them in the same way. Personally out of all of our younger players, I am most happy by quite a long shot with Warren. He seemed to really turn the corner in his 3rd year. And I have enough patience to even give them their entire rookie contract.

TJ would be giving Bled a run for his money in the Nashty.

Even more hilarious is considering Bledsoe the player most responsible for the loss.
I wouldn't say it's blind hate. It would be blind hate if I only looked at box score and saw that Knight notched a -19 in the plus/minus whereas Bledsoe had a fairly spectacular +18. But the reason why I put Knight in as a -1 vs Bledsoe as a -3 is because I watched the game and while Knight had a mostly efficient game, the flow of the game kind of tanked when he got in so he deserves a cactus nomination. Bledsoe, on the other hand, had a excellent game overall (30/4/9/3stl and excellent fg%) but he also stunk it up when the game really counted which is why he's the Big Cactus for this game.
I gave Knight the same cactus rating as you

In the last few games the Knight -3's really just haven't made much sense to me. I wasn't talking specifically about ya at all. Just a lot of -3's with no logic/ reason.
You think Bled was the player most responsible for the loss yesterday? That doesn't make much sense to me.
