Time to pick out a few guys on the Nets who will be getting career games on Wednesday.

Man at this point we're gonna be that team that misses the playoffs by 1 or 2 spots and still end up giving away our pick to the 76ers. Mitch better be on the phones making some damn calls when trade deadline approaches...

This has to be the most disappointing loss this season. Forget all the other blowout losses these clowns have had so far this season.
To have a 9 point lead and seemingly all the momentum going into the half, just to get mopped in the third quarter allowing the Kings to go on a 38-8 run is an utter disgrace. No respect for these fools.
So when can we start up the engine to that Laker tank?

Next two games should be winnable at least. Brooklyn and 76ers, but I don't think it's going to be a cake walk since this team doesn't play a lick of defense.

I don't know what to say about Randle... says he'd run through a wall for Luke, but can't even give it maximum effort after his coach goes to bat for him. We need more Worm from Randle... we need more Metta from Randle... that was absolutely disheartening to watch and one of many games recently where all his IQ and bravado seems to have been swatted from the end of his t-rex iso layup attempts.

Nets were a basket away from beating the Rockets in Houston.
76ers will have Embiid, Noel and Oaks playing

I had them winning either both of those games, or losing at BKN and winning in PHI, but yes, the worst defensive team in the league doesn't really have a good chance at winning anything anytime soon, so now I think they lose both.
At least three games in this losing streak were highly winnable and the team failed miserably in taking those three.

Any one remember where Byron Scott left the keys to the tank?

Tough lost.
But more than anything I really love what Luke did!

This is ridiculous. You know what, screw it. Go all in for a star before deadline. Randle is hardly filling me with confidence recently as is most of the other players. Show some heart ffs.

It's impossible to win ball games when our defense is arguably the worst in the league.
Does Luke coach any D at all?
The playoff goal is out of reach now. I'd rather tank it hard now than giving the pick to the freaking 76ers.

Re: Lakers (10-16) @ Kings (8-15) - Dec 12 - 7:30 PM PST
IMO, the reason for the losses is simple: and it's not defense.
Yeah, our defense is horrible...but it certainly was far from good when were were that gritty 10-10 team. Nothing has changed there. Our problem is we completely abandoned the ball movement game. It's just iso after iso now. This is on Luke for not recognizing it...and doing something about it. Ingram, Clarkson, Williams...they just get the ball and dribble around, and jack a shot up. The ball hasn't moved in over a month....and we've suffered for it.
Go look at the box scores these past 5-6 games...18 assists...14 assists....14 assists. I think there's a 24ish assist game, and that's been the best one. Remember those 55-assist games? all those 46 or 42 assist games? Back when the ball was moving.
This has been rubbish-ball for a while. I don't know why they decided to abandon what was working so well for us.

Re: Lakers (10-16) @ Kings (8-15) - Dec 12 - 7:30 PM PST
Going to be tough to win if you have Clarkson, Young and Lou going a combined 10-33, 5 of 14 from 3... Add to that that Ingram has been pretty terrible, Nance hasn't really had the impact he was having early, Randle's still dealing with the hip thing, Russell's still trying to work his way back...
We're in a real precarious position right now... And the schedule hasn't helped at all...
The only remote bright spot is that Deng seems to be waking up a little.
All that said, this is when a Coach needs to step up and find a way to get his guys on the same page... I get the feeling Luke's kind of been coasting since Russell got injured... Getting ejected can work, but you have to follow it up with something...
We'll see how these guys respond... If they don't, it may be time to shake things up.

I went to bed at half time when we were up by 9 - I thought the game was in the bag.
How did we go form up 9 at halftime to down by ....21 at the end of the 3rd?

Well... You take up by 9, and you subtract heart, and defense... then you get down by 21.
It was really tough to watch.
