That's how you try and help your team win.

Yeah, he was shooting like total butt against the Heat, too, but that was also all from three. I mentioned, but he was 6/11 below the arcand yeah, 14/12 and a block against the Kings last night was really nice. He was battling pretty well with Whiteside. And as you say, he did well against the Kings to go for 3 offensive boards. I think he's a LITTLE too free from beyond the arc right now, but I mean, he's like 5 years old, playing in the NBA. He's doing impressive things, and he seems to maintain effort on the other side of the ball regardless of what's going on offensively, which is critical.

Monster game from KP, showed the kind of 2-way dominance many of us expect from him down the road. His shooting bounced back too, after a mini-slump. Very, very strong performance.

On a poor shooting night Friday against the Kings frontline, Porzingis still managed to put up:

17 Points, 10 Rebounds, and 2 Assists

Read on Twitter

Last night (Sunday) against the Lakers, he managed to get out out of the 5 game shooting funk and put up this gem of a line:

26 Points, 12 Rebounds, 7 Blocks :o (3rd time tying his Career high), 2 Assists, and 1 Steal on 8-15 (53% FG), 3-4 (75% 3PT), and 7-9 (79% FT).

Even WHEN his shot wasn't falling, he STILL managed to not let it affect the rest of his game and overall aspect. Hr improved BOTH his RPG & BPG numbers during that shooting slump of about 5 games.

i actually agree with broussard, KP is a much better prospect than dlo or ingram, The guy has insane upside, plus ny is giving him a lot of attitude/swagger. Not afraid to bark at fans or get into with other players.

Not sure many people would disagree. Should be a popular stance, actually.

Especially from a defensive standpoint. KP blocks and rebounds at a better rate MUCH earlier in his career than Dirk too.

Don't like the poll. I believe KP will be bigger star then Pau Gasol. I am not sure if he can be as big as Dirk. Hell no way Dirk is top 20 all-time.

what is certain is he is such a good example of the importance of draft selection in terms of its immediate impact on a team in the recent past. NYK improved significantly after his arrival.

Dirk is consensus top 20, basically, around nr. 15-16 for most people.

15-16? :o Fine, opinions are like ****, everybody got one. Personally, I can't see how could anyone rate Dirk that high. Magic, Oscar, Stockton, Jordan, Kobe, West, LeBron, Bird, Dr. J, Baylor, Wilt, Jabbar, Russell, Shaq, Hakeem, Duncan, Malone. There is 17 players and I didn't even start comparing Dirk with Garnett or Barkley or Pettit. Or with players at other positions like Isiah, Cousy, Havlicek, Ewing, Robinson, Moses, Reggie Miller or Kyle **** Korver. (Ok, last one was a joke. My favourite player)

On a close OT loss last night to a very nice up and coming Suns team (their Wing rotation is VERY promising), KP put up:

34 Points, 8 Rebounds, 3 Steals, 3 Blocks on 12-23 FG (52%), 4-4 3PT (100% :o ), 6-7 FT (86%)

...and it seems he got an "A" on his "test":

Haha never seen you so happy before, it feels like every time I read your posts about KP, feels like you are so proud and can't believe what he is doing on a daily bases. One of the best years and years to come to be a Knicks fan right? :king:
Celtics fan.
We also face the Kings twice in the near future. I think it's time Yabu pays back some of that free money he's been given his entire career and bounces Fox for a nice 2 week ankle sprain.

The dude is a freak. Has by far the highest potential out of anyone in his draft and that's saying a lot. On shows like TNT and ESPN you hear a lot of them talk how Towns and Embiid could end up as the two best bigs in the league. They don't seem to mention KP to often surprisingly. I think he has more potential than both of those guys.

Dirk was the first jersey I ever bought. He's always been one of my favorite players to watch. But damn I forgot just how great he was in his prime. His career numbers and achievements are ridiculous. Clearly top 20 player

Indeed!

I'm ecstatic because we FINALLY have a legit Franchise young player again. Not just hype (like Frye or Gallo), but an ACTUAL Franchise player in NYC! :D

The last time we had that was:
