Heart attack game

So different from the previous few weeks

Need to get used to it quickly

Hope they blitz and blow out the Lakers so he doesn't have to play so much and it won't be another heart attack game

Lakers game is a most win if Nets wants to salvage the season......Lakers are also struggling big time, so it's a very winnable game with Lin back and improving Brooklyn's competitiveness.

'i dont think there are must win games in mid december.... we have had terrible starts the first 2 years in brooklyn only to have great januarys and make the playoffs.

if this team is going to make the playoffs, it will have to be more then just beating the tank commanders and basement dwellers. yestarday was promsing

I'd say yesterday was more than just promising. Rockets were one of the hottest teams in the league on a big winning streak. CBS even put them number one in their weekly power rankings.

And we just about had them at their home court. Actually incredible, thinking back on it. We were running rookies against them!

Excited for the next game.

Last night game last two-minute report, two incorrect none call. One is Eric Gordon shooting foul to Sean Kilpatrick, Sean should have two FT, instead, it was called offensive foul of Sean.

Then last 8 sec., PBev foul Lin before the ball inbound, Lin should have two FT and Nets's ball, instead no call, and it is a Nets turnover.

really could have won the game if it was not gifted to HOU by the ref. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I think he means that this is a winnable game: home game against a struggling Lakers team. And the Nets need to win these gimmes. And sometimes steal some games, like against the Clips. We should've stole that Rockets game too.

Yeah, I'm still pissed that we gave Eric Gordon so many wide-open looks. When we got up by 3, I thought for sure we had it until Gordon made it short-lived :x

No mention of the 5+ Harden arm push-offs that weren't called or the flop by Nene when Lin tried for the steal?

OTOH, Lin was rusty, otherwise we would have won.

Well, his low minutes meant iHead and SK-II played more and they played well.

Missin those first 3 FTs tho......

Still just 1 game... last year we took the warriors to overtime and would have beat them but lopez missed a layup at the buzzer. we then beat the hawks by 2 the next game.... then boston beat us by 25 and we lost 8 of the next 9 games.

we could easily go 0-3 in this stretch even vs bad teams. our defense is bad and thats always going to take 48 minutes of effort and big contributions from lin, bogs, lopez to overcome

10 TOs from these 2 really hurts. Yes, missing 3 FTs did show Lin's rusty.

They can't put that in there about Harden because it would validate what Tim Donaghy has said for years about the NBA's officiating.

Harden gets ripped alot for all the free throws.... but it gets so overblown and takes away from how great he is.

Take away ALL of his free throws from monday night and he still puts up 28/11/8/2

every time we got close he would drill a three. late in the 4th any time they needed a bucket he would get in the paint and score.

guy is an elite offensive talent. and most of his trips to the line are because he consistently beats his man off the dribble. sure he embelishes a ton, but in most cases he beat his man and there was contact.

quickest first step in the league with elite ball handling

i mean... tdont tell me this guy is a product of the officiating when he dominates like this

-almost all of his assists are passes after he gets within 5 feet fo the rim and collapses the D
-go under the screen he drills a three
-go over the screen its a layup or floater
-transition he is unstoppable
-iso he is going to blow by you

He wouldn't have the W without the whistles tho.

He elbows SKewed and SKewed got called for a foul.

It's a shame.

He's elite offensively but not a elite winning type player. (not to mention he hasn't shown he can co-exist with other good players unless coming off the bench)

yeah aside from the the embellishment, I was in awe of his game the other night. Those passes to the cutting wings and bigs were beautiful. he was picking the Nets defense apart like a vulture going for the carrion of a rotting corpse, just nasty as hell.

I think playing PG this season has actually made him BETTER (which is crazy because he was already on a HOF pace statistically) now than he ever has been. He's making guys around him look good. i'd kill to have a player that skilled in a Nets uniform.
