This is beyond ridiculous now.

We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

Re: Motiejunas' options
Wtf!! Man I feel that one is on the Rockets for choosing to fail him on his physical. I need to know what happened on the Rockets physical as opposed to the Nets. Until that happens the Rockets look bad

Why would the Rockets match, then work out their own deal that pays him slightly more, then fail his physical just because? Because Daryl Morey wants to cause unnecessary drama and have to work more and talk to the league? I doubt it. That makes absolutely no sense lol He hasn't officially failed yet (although he probably has), but teams do not have a standard bar for healthy. He can be healthy enough for the Nets to be willing to risk it but not the Rockets.

The funny thing is DMO said they even didn't examined him, all they did was paper work (Huston didn't find anything wrong afterwards too). DMO even considered to sue Pistons for false report.

looks like the NBPA is probably involved now, as the rockets screwed dmo hard. morey, who is so vocal about every move now is absolutely silent, probably due to liability.

As HartfordWhalers said in the trade and transaction board, all that was reported was that the Nets 'are comfortable' with his back, not that they've had an actual physical. Possible the physical was going to come after Houston decided to match or not

as was said by joel blank, in the link i posted above, who he clearly states dmo is a personal friend of his who text each other often, dmo said he had completed a psychical for the nets because there wasn't even an indication that the rockets would match. and why would they other than keeping him as a trade chip considering they already tried to get rid of him last season. anderson was and still is supposed to be dmos replacement, that's fairly obvious too.
more importantly, why wouldn't the nets nor any team after the piston trade retraction make dmo not have a physical before signing the contract considering his reputation was tarnished in terms of believing whether he's healthy or not? makes no sense.

The physical would be done after they know the Rockets aren't matching, it can still be voided if he fails. Of course Dmo is going to want that message out there because otherwise he will have no shot to latch on somewhere. The idea that they traded him just because they don't want him is hilarious. They got a top 9 protected pick! Better than what Kanter and Reggie Jackson got in similar situations! It was a great deal for the Rockets, that's why they did it. Not to get rid of Dmo. Also the Rockets made it very clear to local guys like Feigen and Watkins, as well as Woj that they were very interested in keeping him. Go read one of Woj's many articles before the offer was signed. If he and his agent didn't think there was any reason the Rockets would match then they must be deaf to their own situation. Also the idea that because they have a power forward means they don't need anymore is weird. you know more than one guy at each position plays in a game right? Dmo would be the primary backup 4 and play minutes at center. He would'nt chill on the bench. If the Rockets wanted to sign him and trade him leaving him on the bench also makes no sense because not playing lowers his value so why would they do that? When teams want to trade guys they play them more, example being Casspi in Sac, after asking for a trade they started playing him to showcase tp other teams.

Re: Motiejunas' options
Joel Blank has a huge grudge against the Rockets right now. I didn't hear the interview, but I've heard some people quite critical of the veracity of the opinions stated as facts.
This is a huge drama, and I've read some opinions that the reason why this is happening now is because the Nets are making a complaint about their initial offer being matched, then scrapped and replaced. It sounds like it may be within the RFA rules; but might be against the spirit of the rules.
If Motiejunas remains in Houston - and I hope that he does - I fully expect him to act professionally as he always has in the past. I do think that no matter what happens here the RFA rules are going to get a solid looking-over from teams, players & agents.

Re: Motiejunas' options
Joel blank is a joke. Heard him to days ago complaining about Rockets matching the Nets offer of 31 mil but not the bonus and how that was against the CBA. Clearly a grudge clearly clueless.
It remains unclear whether he passed or even took the Nets physical. I've heard that all they did was paperwork.
I'm just completely in the dark since so many people are saying so many different things.
