  • Nobody has actually presented any evidence whatsoever that the Russians hacked anybody. All we have is an anonymous leak from a CIA source with no corroboration. It is well understood that the CIA is strongly pro-Clinton (with the FBI being more pro-Trump), so this could just as easily be the case that the CIA, or a rogue element within the CIA is tampering with the election, not Russia. Let's not forget that the CIA are professional liars. That is what they do. It would behoove us all to be a bit skeptical until people with actual names and faces step forward.
  • The CIA claims to have identified the actual individuals responsible for the hacking, but nobody has been named or penalized. Why?
  • The CIA claims that the RNC had also been hacked, but this has been refuted by the RNC and by FBI sources. This is a critical fact that must be nailed down because the entire premise that Russia was aiding Trump is based on the notion that they selectively released the dirt from the Democrats, and not from the Republicans. If they were unsuccessful in obtaining RNC dirt, then it would explain why only DNC dirt was released.
  • The Russian hacks (if indeed proven true) are only for the DNC emails, NOT the Podesta emails. Julian Assange and other Wikileaks officials have stated that the Podesta emails were not hacks from Russia but were from whistleblowers on the inside. The Podesta emails and the fundraising speech transcripts were where most of the Clinton dirt was. The DNC emails really only contained dirt on how the DNC was biased in favor of Clinton over Sanders during the primary. All of the Clinton scandals and alleged scandals in the weeks preceding to the election (the Comey email investigation, Donna Brazile cheating on the debates, Clinton's confession of having "public" and "private" positions on issues, the deplorables comment, the health scare, SpiritCooking, Pizzagate, etc.) had nothing to do with the DNC hacks.
  • There is absolutely no evidence whatsoever that Russians hacked any election machines. The media has been deliberately conflating these stories in an attempt to discredit Trump's victory by saying that the Russians have "hacked the election" rather than saying they hacked the DNC server. If there was voting fraud to be found, so far, it's only been found in Wayne County and it favored Clinton.
  • Nobody is opposing an investigation of the email hacks. People are opposing labeling Russia the culprit in the absence of any evidence.
  • Nobody seemed to mind when Mexico interfered with the election in favor of Clinton. Their president likened Trump to Mussolini, and their government sponsored an initiative to assist Mexican immigrants to become U.S. citizens in time for the election. Heck, Carlos Slim owns the NY Times, who was viciously anti-Trump throughout the election.

It's strange that we didn't get this writeup for Hillary's emails.

Guys, Russian hacking is nothing to be worried about and is mostly just liberals politicizing stuff cause they're mad they lost.

That said, never forget that Hillary used a private email server. #NeverForget

It's not all "insinuation and hyperbole." Trump has done just about anything he could to be noticed going all the way back to the late 70s, and he doesn't really seem much different from the shrill, self-absorbed, obnoxious crybaby he's always been. He's always gleefully demeaned women, gone ballistic at criticism, and displayed really bad taste in just about everything. He's never shown much intellectual curiosity, depth, empathy, or much of an attention span. He's always been a huckster. Give him a chance to what? Prove he's not what he's proven to be in his forty years in the public eye?

I can understand why people who voted for him, and some who didn't, have turned psychic cartwheels of illogic to avoid so much of the obvious. That's fine. That's pragmatism. Not a damn thing they or I can do about any of it right now anyway, pragmatically speaking. There is sort of a bandwagon fan feel to his support, but I guess that's its own form of pragmatism. Each new president brings a new batch of Kool-Aid, and mobs of cultists drink while opposing mobs yell something indignant.

OK, maybe Trump, despite being a total *-****, won't completely **** everything up. There, I gave him a chance.

PS: What Jim Brown has to say about Trump matters as much as what Madonna has to say about him. Celebrities pragmatically getting brand exposure. Politicians are doing it too. All those sworn enemies of Trump now licking his boots. Politicians are the best "pragmatists"

Disagree with most everything you said, but the Jim Brown to Madonna comparison is ridiculous. Jim Brown has spent 50 year of his life working with Black inner city youth at the community level. He has put small scale programs in place in Cleveland that have worked well despite SSS. He has also spent time with a number of high level politicians and most every president over the last 25 years, including Trump. He is far from a celebrity elitist that travels around on private jets while telling us cow farts are ruining the Ozone.

Of course you disagree. You have a brand to uphold. :D

Apparently, I am incapable of following your convoluted logic. Nobody tried to equate the Clinton server scandal with a conspiracy of Russian subversion, so I never needed to write a post refuting it. The Clinton server thing was a scandal because she so negligently handled top secret information, all because she wanted to hide her shady dealings with the Clinton Foundation.

I'm pointing out the hypocrisy of the Trump acolytes. Russian subversion is liberals politicizing stuff, but Hillary's email scandal is a grave threat to our national security. Obviously you're only seeing things one way.

Spoke with two of her brothers at a local coffee shop months back.

Very nice folks!

She has a real chance to be POTUS some day.

Again, those two issues are completely different so arguing hypocrisy is ridiculous. Essentially, you are saying that defense of Trump for Random Issue A is hypocritical unless I also defend Clinton for Random Issue B. It makes no sense.

I love Jim Brown as an athlete and agree with what you say about his work in the community. But I'm surprised that Jim admires Trump given that the President-elect is clearly a bully, bigot and liar.

Maybe it's because he and Trump have something in common--both have verbally and physically abused women.

Or maybe Jim has a great BS detector. He has dealt with political activist, Team owners, coaches, agents, politicians, etc. over the last 50 years. For all his flaws, he seems like a man that doesnt get "taken for a ride" and can sniff out a fraud. Maybe he gets a sense that Trump actually listened to him, but who knows.

Jim Brown is obviously trying to become friendly with the POTUS to help him get things done. He knows that sometimes you have to work with people you don't like/don't agree with to accomplish your goals.

Trump met with him and listened to him and Brown appreciated that. He is just trying to make the best of the situation instead of sitting around throwing a pity party.

Wall Street Journal has been on a roll for the last few weeks - not so much the NY Times...

For all those that don't think Putin is part of the evil empire, google: How I Learned to Love Putin

Don't agree that

And they have been having some pretty good discussions about how Ryan/Trump might come up with some good corporate tax overhauls - but also how they might benefit those pushing them through...

Hmmm, but the points are correct. Right? That was an opinion from Kevin Cramer - Congressman from North Dakota. Pretty sure he has a really good handle on the situation.

Yeah, he might have biases, but it's not like he's an outsider to the situation.
