Thought it was kind of stupid to not just to call it the European Championship and open it up to the whole of Europe.

Belt looks awesome but hate the premise...why not just bring back the European championship?

Added some more info to the OP. That title looks amazing. Might be the best-looking title in WWE right now.

Pete Dunne has to be the early favorite to win this, based on the list of competitors given.

Seriously. Can't wait to get home tonight and download it on 2k17. I'm sure there are a few players in the process of creating that title right now.

Who the hell is Tiger Ali btw? Surely not the Tiger Ali from the WWF in the mid-90's, right?

Dave Meltzer: WWE has talked about taking territory system globally

He answered (at length) a mailbag question that asked if WWE wanted to take the territory system globally. Meltzer confirmed they have talked about this and said:

"I don't expect this to happen right away, although I suppose it could, but the idea of running a European tour or a European based promotion with European wrestlers and the idea of running an Asian promotion with Asian wrestlers is very much talked about, yes."

It's possible we could see a WWE United Kingdom Champion, WWE Asia Champion, etc. He also said these promotions would be 'quasi-developmental' with the standout talents eventually being called up to the main roster after developing experience.

Wasn't this Shane's 'Global Domination' idea from about 10 - 15 years ago? Looks like it's being put into action. Very, very interesting.

That was Shane's idea (the global territories), hopefully this means Shane is taking over WWE to implement his vision, i would honestly prefer that than hyper-marketing that Stephanie would engage in (Susan G Komen x 1000 doesn't sound like fun). Would love to see expansion into Africa (well Africa would probably be limited to southern africa and certain countries like Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Morrocco etc due to the economic and political situation) and South America.

Anyway nice idea, but they're running scared, surely this is a knee-jerk to ITV and WWOS (which by all accounts sounded awful). I mean WWE deserve nothing less than to be put into a distant 2nd, especially after taking their stuff to Sky. But i don't think they have anything to be seriously worried about.

Anyway their is only one real choice their, Peter Dunne has to win the title (surely ICW cannot be too pleased about two top stars being out, though if it means Joe Coffey becomes ICW champ again i'm down)

Updated the OP with the official bracket. I'm putting my money on a final four of...

Trent Seven vs. Tyler Bate

&

Pete Dunne vs. Mandrews

with a championship match of Seven vs. Dunne

yeah i think its leading to Pete Dunn v Seven with Dunne winning but i could see Wolfgang and Seven in the semi (since Wolfgang is pretty high up in ICW).

This could have benefited from some of the guys WWE signed be here (i.e. Noam Dar and Big Damo). Those two right there would have helped a ton.

that Bate kid was freakin phenomenal (also watch his promo vid where he's swinging a guy and doing an airplane spin simultaneously. absolutely insane.)

him and devlin were 2 guys that really stood out to me so that match should be fire tomorrow

Bate is great and will probably be the Alexander of this tornuament. No way he doesn't get signed.

Still think it's going to be a Seven v Dunne final.

Also not really WWE news but since its UK stuff. 5 star apparently got a tv deal in the UK with spikeTV (the UK one) and Channel 5 over there.

Not sure how with the way they are run but should be interesting to see how WWE react (would have though PROGRESS and ICW should have gotten ones first)

Bate was definitely the standout from day one.

I liked T-Bone a lot too. He and Wolfgang put on the second best match of the day. They just brought an energy to their match that had been lacking to that point. I was kind of sad both of them couldn't advance.
