To be fair, what is Wojnarowski accurate about? The occasional "WOJ BOMB!!!!" when he tweets the outcome of a draft pick a couple of minutes for the actual event? He obviously has great relationships with certain GM's since they give him this information early, but how do we know he's not used to lower Noel's price in this case?
Woj is not infallible and he certainly may not have been accurate in his tweet, but he's at least one of the few guys out there that gets you to sit up and pay attention when he says or tweets something. Saying that other teams are not happy with what they are uncovering in their due diligence of Noel is alarming just because of who it comes from. Obviously, Woj could be off or being used by others to lower Noel's value, but anything from him is simply not dismissed as quickly as it is from others. Just the same, I would have thought Noel had few issues before this past year, but his actions between the apartment fiasco, his public comments about not being happy with the big man situation in Philly, and his distance from the team in general at least raise red flags and add some semblance of merit to the tweet.

no. never heard of any GMs leaking things trying to get an advantage.
(the fact that more than one team is interested is the driving force heading toward the deadline. and we haven't even seen Nerlens on the floor with Embiid yet. here's hoping Jo's ankle sprain isn't that bad and we can see the two of them healthy over a stretch.)

My .02, I think Noel is dogging it a little bit this year. Has elective surgery and plays a half and tweaks his ankle and is out again.

I'm not doubting that he's had minor stuff but I'm thinking he really doesn't want to be part of an experiment. What he doesn't realize is, he's hurting his trade value

Embiid must be dogging it too after sitting out the prior game because of an "elbow injury". Jeez, just suck it up Joel, amirite?

And I'm willing to bet that Noel doesn't care at all about his trade value. He's probably more concerned with his next contract than anything which is why I doubt he's trying to take time off.

What player cares about their own trade value? I doubt he is hurting his actual value come contract time. He will get the max. the only way he can improve upon that is to actually make an All Star game so he can qualify for a higher max.

He's wrong for doing this publicly.
This doesn't help neither him nor the team.

Need to ship his entitled ass out of town. Even if we choose him over Okafor, he will pout that he does not start and that his playing time won't top 25 minutes. I prefer Holmes any day of the week. Holmes has every reason to be upset as well but keeps it for himself and comes with a lower price tag. Any dollar we would have to spend on Noel should go to our beyond awful backcourt.

Can we send him to the D-league? I mean the man needs his minutes.

Yeah, I'm brainstorming to think of ways to trade both Noel/Okafor, something I have been pretty much against for a long time. /sigh

Noel missed 3 or 4 point blank put backs last night. Too good my ass.

It's time for NN & OK4 to go and bring me back a freaking guard who can run a NBA offense and defense.

For all of OK4 faults at least he's playing the good soldier routine

To all the Noel fans, do you guys really think Noel will be content playing behind Embiid and Simmons at 4 and 5?

Embiid will need be maxed the season after Noel's max. Simmons, if he turns out to be good, will need a max in the long shorterm future. Sixers aren't going to commit likely 60-75m for the PF/C position, unless you really don't want guards who can run an offense and wing players who can shoot.

I suppose 3x max contracts at PF/C/C with a bunch of mediocre wings could work, if you guys turly believe that Noel is one of the saviors.

I think that he's right in the way that he's handling things. The Sixers are a broken organization and it's damaging his career. The Colangelo's brought back Ish Smith, a PG that can use all of Noel's talents, just to let him go again while signing Bayless and Sergio. Those two guys can't use Noel. Too many within the Sixers fanbase grew up watching a broken organization so you have some of these fans aping the garbage the Sixers profess like Ben Simmons as a true PG. That's a bad idea! This organization is broken! Brett Brown is in over his head and needs to go back to just being a staffer. The head job is too much for him. He's a career loser and the players are tired of him. Embiid is complaining, Noel is complaining. It's time for Brett Brown to go. He can't handle the talent.

Dump this punk's ass in the D league for the season and then let him walk to whoever wants him next year - don't let this CANCER anywhere near the locker room.
Don't want to trade him for anything as he would see that as a reward , and his behaviour deserves nothing.
Some of these entitled punk generation dudes need a good hard slap of reality.

To be fair, Embiid missed some bunnies that he needs to start hitting including that alley oop and he's been playing since the beginning of the year. Noel could be a little rusty, no?

Also, how egregious were those non-calls on Embiid. Any other star would get those calls.

So Ben isn't a PG BUT Ersan is a 3 and Roco is a 2?
