thats fair, but you don't know for how much? I assume if he was willing to give him away he could have easily but he wasn't just a throw in. I think they were trying to use him to move Calderon contract (were the rumors). Which in todays market meant phil valued him as a 1st round pick. Teams now realizing they probably should have taken that deal.

calderon was moved before free agency began. they had willy and noah. kyle was supposed to be the odd man out. if you remember when the year started horny actually said that he was 3rd on the depth chart. his play has made willie the odd man out. i think he just wasn't wanted.

No reason to even consider moving him here, based on the way that he's playing, unless some team completely blows us away. The argument right now is whether you start Kyle next to KP, not whether you should trade him.

Kyle hasn't shown it yet this season, but he did last season. He even has the three point shot in his arsenal, and he could easily fit the mold that Frye fit into in Phoenix.

What would people want in return?

I would hold onto him until bigger decisions are made. I.e. Rose's status etc. No reason to move unless we're blown away. Unless he **** the bed for the rest of the season, his value will hold.

the KOQ rumors were originally at the trade deadline last year when they wanted to move Calderon though.

But I agree he wasn't valued anywhere near what he is now since he committed himself to getting in shape. But I think he wasn't moved because the knicks wanted something of value for him and his play last year scared teams away from giving up anything.

the difference between O'Quinn from last season to this season, is he has a coach that knows what he's doing.

take noah too  . truthfully, if they make a trade, they're gonna look for more talent not less. they're not making trades for picks or to dump a guy. they want to get better.

I'd take KOQ for a 1st rounder or KOQ packaged with LT for a player on an expiring contract that could help us this season

yup at this point with Noah health and play concerns he is probably going to be playing 25-30 minutes for the rest of the year and we have him for 2 more years. There really isn't a rush to move him. He basically plays enough minutes to be our starting center.

Oh, absolutely. They'll want players at this point. They might, on draft night, make a move for a drafted prospect.

I'm trying to recall the last time a team called the knicks interested in a player. Usually it's us making the calls not taking them. A sign of better times? Not sure how to act in this situation. Give me 2 first round picks and yo mama?

We could really use an impact wing or a young guard. Maybe if Boston strikes out on all of their primary targets they'd bite on O'Quinn. I happen to like KOQ and don't want to move him for just any old package. His contract is pennies with the new salary cap in place. Problem with moving KOQ is that their are a lot of bigs on the perceived market with not a lot of clear landing spots for them

Wilson Chandler would be awesome but, I don't think they're interested in adding another big their already cluttered rotation.

O'Quinn for Shabazz Muhammad makes some sense for both teams. However, I'd rather have a more defensive minded wing.

We'd probably have to add something but Phil could finally make up for his "biggest mistake" by trying to get Jae Crowder this time around.

Also Atlanta could probably use some depth behind Dwight. They have a ton of young wings and Korver. We could land my man Bembry and probably a pick as well.

Maybe the Raptors bite on KOQ being a PF and send us TRoss.

One of the Blazers wings would make a lot of sense for us and they could use what KOQ brings badly.

Would you guys do KOQ for Kris Dunn?

The TWolves are heading back to the lottery, lets be real. The draft is PG heavy so the Wolves will have a chance to get another PG prospect. Thibs wants a vet, preferably in the front court. Dunn still looks like a project but I wonder how much impact Hornacek could have on him and his developement.

I know what you're trying to say, but KOQ is a pretty young guy still. And he may not be coming off the bench for much longer. Also, we can only hope Willy will eventually be as good as Kyle has been defensively and on the glass.

If Kyle continues playing this well the rest of the season, he deserves to be here long-term. We're gonna need him. Noah is more of a bench player at this point, so a tough and talented big like KO should be invaluable to a team with a player like KP developing in the front court.

Seriously... we need him.
