Reasonable to say he can be like the player stylistically but I don't think you can compare him to the peak of any All-Star

I've watched a decent amount of his highlights and like what I've seen. He does possess a Bosh like skill set and he's producing similarly as a frosh. I've not seen any full games though, so my perspective is pretty narrow. I'd be cool with him tenth pick or later.

Here's the part where I'm pissed at not having ESPN. Oh well. Watching The Enforcer instead.

I'm thinking that we ought to get used to the sound of Lauri Markkanen.

Is Lauri Markkanen supposed to be this years Frank Kaminsky around here? :-?

I dont think thats a bad thing to be quite honest. He gives you guys some needed shooting and offensive skill, should fit extremely well next to Whiteside, his two biggest holes are rim protection and rebounding, Whiteside does plenty of that.

Those are the 1st two things i look for in any C/PF. & him being slow, & not that athletic just kills it for me. :banghead:

Ill say this. I heard nothing but really negative things about how explosive he looked when he first got onto campus. Since that last surgery (Just cleaned the old knee up) Ive heard nothing but great things about his explosiveness. He also seems to be handling practices very well. Ive been told he looks very rusty (which is expected), so give him till I think mid February to start really getting going. But it sounds like he has his explosion back which is pretty scary. If he can show off his skill the 2nd half of the season and show off his explosion. I think he will go top 5 especially with what Embiid is doing right now. Giles was the consensus #1 prospect in this class when healthy. I think a team is going to take a chance on him top 5.

Do you know when he will play his 1st game?

gross, you dont have a down year to walk away with a prospect like that

That like instead of drafting Wade we drafted Kaman, or instead of Westbrook, we draft Beasley.

You guys realize that Bosh was one of the best pick & roll defenders in the league right? He was not just an offensive player.

We need to tank just a little bit harder. We're 7th worst, and 1 game ahead of 3rd worst. We're like 5 games out of the last playoff spot too. Gotta get in the top 5 pick range at least.

For the past couple weeks they've been aiming for him to go this Monday. Still nothing official yet though. Would be great to get him to go Monday abs Wednesday before another long break.

Ceiling doesn't mean he'll ultimately become Bosh, that his best case scenario. Many prospects have/had NBA all stars as their ceilings, but that's assuming they live up to their potential which many prospects fail to do.

From some of the clips I've seen on DraftExpress, it's fair to have Bosh as the ceiling for Markannen.
