Re: When should the grace period for Brett Brown be over?
Brett Brown was developed by Hinkie to be a head coach that is a master at tanking. I think that he is an expert at tanking seasons and sabotaging organizations. This is why brett Brown decided to play Embiid at PF when Okafor is on the court instead of keeping them both at positions where they can produce the best offensively. Now Embiid is just standing around as a stretch 4 as Brett Brown instructed him to do. "Stand around behind the 3 point line and play like Matt Bonner. I'm from the Spurs organization, do not question me. Don't you waste your time looking at how Tim Duncan played the PF position, I'm Brett Brown and you shall be a stretch 4." The tank is in!

BB was developed by Hinkie? Now I've heard it all. I guess we are just discarding the 2 decades of professional coaching with 12+ years under Pop.

Brown can't be judged until Simmons is on the floor. The second half of the season with him on the floor (plus other players added through a trade) will be vastly different than the first half.

He's been unqualified from Day 1. His inability to coach was distinguishable 20 games into his first season. Now he's messing with our superstar talent's development. GET RID OF HIM.

Neah bro, he needs another 5 seasons with at least 3 superstars on the roster simultaneously, to show what he can do.

Re: When should the grace period for Brett Brown be over?
If you can coach, it doesn't matter who's on the floor. There's coaches out here that can get grade school kids to run the flex to perfection and play D like their life depended on it. It's all about coaching style and having your players run YOUR gameplan the way you set it because they trust it..but that has not happened over his tenure. BB just can't coach a unit, he's not capable of being a X & O guy and putting a complete gameplan together. When talent lacks, your gameplan has to be that much better and strict. Nothing has improved in his coaching since day one, he's the same guy with the same style.

I can't wait til we get a new coach, this should be his last season here because we are tanking again. I see no improvement on d, the guards are running around like a chicken with their heads chopped off. Yes the guards stink but the coach should somewhat make them competent somewhat. His decision making is still atrocious and I'm getting tired of watching it.

Wrong wrong wrong. He is not blaming the coach he said coach has a lot on his plate. Everyone knows this is on BC. Players and the coach are frustrated and talking about it. BC could be setting Coach Brown up to be let go. After all he was not his coach of choice he is a holdover from the Hinkie era.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

Brett Brown is in control of the lineup. If Nerlens plays 1 minute it's because of Brett Brown. If Nerlens plays all 48 it's because of Brett Brown. Nerlens is criticizing his playing time. On all levels of basketball that's a shot at the head coach. Do you understand that?

I could be wrong but you probably don't understand that basketball played on the NBA level is not the same as basketball played in the gym or on at the college level. They look the same but they are very different games/businesses.
Most of the NBA coaches have bosses they answer to. Bosses that tell them to take their center and play him as a Power Forward so they can highlight another player and bosses that give coaches an impossible roster and say hey deal with this.
If you took the time to actually listen to the interview you would have heard Nerles say that the coach has a lot on his plate and "they" not "he" needs to figure this chit out. Who is the "they" he is talking about? Let me give you a clue, his father recently handed him a GM job for a basketball team in Philadelphia.
So when you say he is taking a shot at the head coach you are making it very simplistic. It's a shot at the organization and the way the team has been constructed. Do you understand that?

Unless you can prove that BC is controlling Brett Brown's lineups then everything that you said doesn't matter. Where's your source?

Hinkie would have never come into this year with all 3 bigs. BC has no idea what he is doing. The man was handed everything on a silver platter and still managed to screw everything up by not getting a trade done before the season started. Pure idiocy.

Re: When should the grace period for Brett Brown be over?
I'm beginning to move beyond Brett Brown and the Colangelos being horrible at their jobs. Their records speak for themselves. Out of all of the seasons that the Colangelos have GM'd NBA franchises, how many NBA championships do they have? It's the Sixers ownership. They hired the scam artist known as Sam Hinkie AKA "Mr. Just Trust Me," trust the process...They also green lit the extension Brett Brown received while factually being the worst NBA coach in league history. No one has a lower winning percentage for anywhere approaching the amount of games Brett Brown has coached. He has coached 272 games with a .195 winning percentage.

The grace period for Brett just ended IMO. Benching Noel and playing that one trick pony hack forcing the franchise player out of position is inexcusable (unless BC has a big deal for Okafor going down tomorrow).

I agree the ownership group sucks.
