Noel to <your team>
Simple Rules:
- only trade offers from non-Sixer's fans.
- Sixer's fans can discuss / rank deals / counter.
- By trading for Noel now, you are assured the ability to resign him and make him a part of your core long term.
Basically, he is available now, and his value is in the tank. However, the "We won't give value for him because we will just sign him in the off-season" IMO that doesn't work, whoever trades for him is doing so because they want him going forward.
so low ball - high ball - whatever. Ideally i'd like to come away with three or four reasonably acceptable deals and then run a poll either here or on the Sixer's page.
Some highlights so far, would appreciate some sixer's feed back on some of these that haven't been commented on, maybe something as a scale from 1 to 5 type of thing?
LAL: Clarkson for Noel
MIN: Muhammaed/Tyus Jones/2nd
MIL: Henson + Lotto 1st
BOS: Jackson, 2019 Memphis 1st or Rozier, 2017 Wolves 2nd
NOLA: Jrue Holiday and Ajinca.
POR: Ezli + Lotto 1st
PHX: Brandon Knight
HOU: KJ McDaniels/Montrezl Harrell/Hou 2017 1st top 10 protected/2017 Den 2nd/2017 Portland 2nd
CHA: Lamb + Lotto 1st
TOR: Ross + bebe
WAS: Wiz 2017 unprotected 1st and Thomas Satoransky or trey burkee
SAC: Willie Caulie-Stein.

Lakers have interest but I feel they need a third team to move Lou Williams for the assets to make this happen. As it stands I only see:
Clarkson for Noel which has been long rumored but both sides seem against.
Or Calderon and unprotect the pick for Noel which Philly is sure to get better offers for Noel.

Re: Noel to <your team>
Sixers fans won't like my offer:
Shabazz Muhammed for Noel.
But hey, if you trade for Shabazz now, you are assured the ability to re-sign him - or at least, if he shows more than he has, you have the bird rights to match an over-priced offer that one of the other 20 teams with cap space might give him next summer.
The deadline to get more than rental value for either was the February 2016 trade deadline. This season, teams will pass on accepting the injury and character risk. Even if he happens to break out this year, and that's not a sure thing, it's unlikely he will be a max player, so a team will just throw an over-priced Biyombo-sized deal on him, that the other 20 teams, including whatever his current one is, won't want to match. Even if they don't get him, at least they didn't give up anything in trade.
(I should probably add that I would not do a Rubio for Noel deal either)

Rozier plus a non-Brooklyn pick (Which has been discussed ad nauseum. Philly fans don't like it. Some Boston fans like it.)

Re: Noel to <your team>
Lou Williams for Noel
The deal on paper makes us significantly worse so its more likely to yield a better pick. In addition Williams is a solid combo guard off the bench.
Noel-Randle-Ingram-Russell-Clarkson for us is great.

I'm actually ok with some of these offers so far (no, not the Minny one).

the plan is to get as good as quickly as possible....I fully believe we could have been a borderline playoff team last year by adding young veterans....using or draft picks and cap space.....can I specifically tell you who? no.

I feel like most (but not all) of these have been reasonable to suggest.
Hopefully it stays an interesting thread. Keep it coming =)

Ding ding. Not interested in 30 year old vets, borderline scrubs, or a pick in the mid to late 20s. I'd give Noel to the team who offers a mid first, and I think POR's pick will be right there. Only complaint is I'd rather have it top 10 or top 12 protected instead.

Rozier/MEM 2019 1st would be acceptable at this point.
I'd still rather Jah be the one leaving (for a better return), and I hate the idea of gifting Nerlens to Boston, but this situation es no bueno.

Portland will have a pretty nasty time resigning him as other teams will know Portland's financial situation and will be looking to stick it to the Blazers. So wouldn't be shocked to see someone throw him a huge contract and force Portland to match, putting them deep into the luxury tax.
That said, I think Portland has to roll the dice on Noel. His age and fit with the Blazers core of Lillard, CJ and Harkless is just too intriguing to pass up if they can get him in town for a reasonable price. I think the change of scenery to a strong lockerroom would be good for Noel's attitude as well. The whole culture in Philly has been pretty toxic for Noel with 'the process'. That's not to say it's all their fault and that he shouldn't be handling it more professionally, but for a guy who's not high character, being around a franchise that's actively trying to lose ever year you've been in the league is a terrible situation.

Any chance on some flex with the pick, like top 12 rather than 14? i don't knw that it actually matters, i think with noel you for sure make the playoffs... but it would definately make me feel better since we we wouldn't actually be getting a player in the deal

I was going to chime in with Rozier, Mickey, 2017 Minny Second Round and 2019 Memphis 1st (top 8 protected).
