Yes, the move bothers me FAR less than this.

The chargers brand is arguably the most "west coast" overall image. It is associated with legends like Dan Fouts, air coryell, gates, LT, and rivers.

Its almost impossible to rebrand the franchise into something even remotely good as the current image... and in the process alienate a fanbase with decades of history :crazy:

I have a feeling this is more of a rumor than what would actually happen.

I think there is still a reasonable chance the stay in San Diego too. I don't know if you saw the leaked letter, but Goodell and the councilmen (or whoever has power there) seem to want them to stay.

I think Spanos might be trying to pretend he will leave to get the best offer the NFL will provide financially to help them out. I guess not a bad business move, but I'd just like to get it resolved. I don't think the league would want them to change their name and uniform either because of that history. It could be another bluff, or that tweet I posted might not have any substance at all.

Honestly I havent been in the loop much if at all with the whole stadium/LA drama involving san diego.

I personally think they will find a way to stay like you allude in the ladder of your post... the chargers although not having a "championship", have just as much success as anyone in the league and personally I find the chargers franchise more successful historically then propped up success of teams like New England.

They will work it out.

Did Cam Newton sleep with all of the refs' wives or something? How does he get flagged, but not get the roughing the passer call there?

It's insane how much the refs don't protect him compared to every other QB, just because he happens to be bigger than most. If that was Luck or Brady or Rodgers or even Big Ben (who's also a huge QB), I feel like the defender would have been ejected on the spot.

This Panthers team has been so frustrating. They've been so so good at times, and shown that they are still capable of being the team they were last season. Then they've been so flat and just heartless at times as well. With a few adjustments this off season the Panthers could be right back to contending next season.
