Knight has to be the primary ball handler when he plays, so of course his impact is going to be greater either way.

I'd absolutely love to see Book and Knight swap roles. Ulis runs the second unit with Book, Knight plays off ball with Bled. It's no secret our offense is very bad when BK runs it.

OR just have Knight be gone. Ulis with Barbosa is better than Knight in the starting lineup.

Which is about the only realistic option because this franchise would NEVER bench Book. Only a coach like Pop could get away with doing it.

He was pretty good in the last game.

He did his damage in the 3rd, when we were down 20 in a dead game. He seems to enjoy playing at Summer League pace.

Honestly I don't even enjoy being a Devin Booker hater but I feel like it's the only way to give some insight into how much heat BK gets.

Nor should they. Booker needs the minutes to work through the struggle and develop. Knight has been given that opportunity long enough to call him a failure.

As much as people just want Booker as the starter, I think this would be much for fun to watch as well. Ulis with Booker and Knight off ball with Bledsoe. Booker gets the ball more anyway for good shots playing with Ulis than with Bledsoe.

The last one was WAY overplayed, to a ridiculous extent, but I actually thought it was kind of funny. This new one is just horrible.

Knight has had an opportunity to play off the ball?

He's had plenty of opportunity to show he's a terrible primary playmaker. But I don't think we've seen much of him as a secondary playmaker since Goran/IT got traded the IT-BK-Bled combo. They had a few games at the end of the season (but BK had an ankle injury iirc?), then a few more at the start of 15-16'... then for the rest of the season one of them was injured.

edit: got properly confused

Well we outscored them that quarter by 4 but will need to play much better defense if we want to win this game in the 4th quarter

That last possession was probably our best rotation defensively in this game.

He won't accept that role. He wants to be the PG. Even with Bledsoe he was commanding possession far too much. I'd love if he'd accept being a shooter. He shouldn't be allowed to dribble the ball at all. Catch and shoot or pass it off. Unless there is an open lane to the basket...

“Let’s do it the right way,” he said of a potential playoff run. “Let’s not bury Dragan Bender and Marquese Chriss and play the veterans 40 minutes a night to get it.”

McDonough talks of a patient, long-term rebuild.

Looking at you Watson...

How the hell does Chriss get knocked on his ass by Shabazz on a battle of position??

Thibs' voice is even more irritating than Doc's. I'd hate to have to listen to that yell at me every day.

I agree. But at least he knows what he's doing and seems to be giving good instructions.

I do agree, but people were saying BK wouldn't accept the 6th man role.

I just hope whoever trades for him uses him off the ball.

That comment must really mean they are going to trade Tucker. I was surprised he said all he did. But what is kind of odd is that doesn't make total sense, to talk about playoffs and doing it the right way while playing the rookies.

Playing the rookies as much as possible without allowing them to lose any confidence or anything by taking on too much IS the right thing to do but that should have nothing to do with the playoffs.

However I guess maybe he feels an obligation to fans to make it sound like we haven't given up on the season two months into it.

Loved playing for coaches like that. Those kind of coaches really get you going and playing hard every possession.

It's time to get beldsoe back in. He always comes in way too late.
