Yes. No doubt. Just think how good it would be if we had one of those attacking PG's too. We'd have the best of both worlds.

There is only so many shots in a game of basketball. Not everyone can eat.

Sure, I'd love it if everybody in our starting 5 averaged 20 ppg. Tell me a team that has ever had that in league history though...

Yeah, I never understood this flawed argument. Teams have their scorers located at different positions. The fare and logical one is option 1 vs option 1 and so on down the line.

It's so great to have that option. Wreaks havoc on the defense and balances things out. All the great teams today have one.

Suns PGs shot 16-31
Everyone else shot 20-49
Everyone else shot 20-49

Let's be honest here. It was a weak sauce win. Suns are trash. So we are not there yet. Played better ball vs Rockets.

Most teams don't have two 20 ppg scorers on the wing and a third in the post.

Counts the same in the record book as a win vs. HOU would have.

77 pts for Wigs, Zach, and Towns tonight. Pretty amazing. They do it night after night.

Klompy, I'm talking about the quality of play. If played like tonight vs a better opponent it would be a very sorry loss.

All the great teams? Name some please. I can only think of one great team right now with four volume scorers. Either you have a scoring point guard whose attempts would not be available for Towns wiggins and Lavine or you have a pass first point guard. And ultimately our model worked and theirs lost. Instead of looking at the currently hyped team and claim "all great teams do it this way" maybe look at the ageless spurs and how they do it. Thats good basketball. What you say is true, you need some guys who can single handedly break down a defense. I dont see why it would have to be the PG though; that is the worst position for that skill because what happens is the Westbrook of early. Take inbound pass, dribble for 22 seconds, take a hard shot. Repeat. What happens to your team mates? They go cold and eventually wont put much effort into D. We have three guys who can get theirs, i dont see why we would need a Westbrook or Lillard or Wall or Walker in this System that Thibs has, and that revolves around the three guys takign an obscene number of shots.

Yes, but you're still bitching about the scorers we lack.

That has nothing to do with what I'm saying. It's a flat out luxury/necessity to have strong PG play.

Friendly reminder: we are only 4 games out of the playoffs with 55 games to go

I'm just saying it's nice to have a PG who can break a defese down. Are you saying it isn't?

Which is it? Luxury and necessity are two very different things.
And it's simple math...if you're getting 60% of your points from other positions on the floor, it means your PGs probably aren't going to provide much offense compared to teams where the other starters only score 50% of the points.
