Still waiting for a ruling on the Nets situation. Won't do anything until that is officially decided. Almost a guarantee the NBA will not allow him to sign in Brooklyn, but nothing definitive as of yet.

I guess I thought that was already decided. I would have hoped a decision would have been quicker since as you said, until it's decided it is likely holding up Motiejunas signing.

There sure has been a lot of hubbub over a fairly mediocre player.

When you have the worst bench production in the NBA mediocre players start to look pretty good.

There also isn't exactly a robust market. He might also be waiting until after 1/10 when all contracts are fully guaranteed, so he doesn't have to play games.

That's fair enough.

It just seems like a pretty good opportunity for the Wolves to improve without giving up assets. Minnesota is sitting on $13M of cap space (may even go up to $25M at the end of January if Pek gets a medical retirement) and is desperate for production off the bench. The Wolves are last in the league in bench scoring (more than 5pts a game behind the 3rd worst team), so if Motiejunas is able to play he could be a significant upgrade. Even if there isn't a robust market for Motiejunas I'm hoping the Wolves will take a chance on a low risk deal (no guaranteed money beyond this season).

He needs to just bite the bullet and sign somewhere for the min or MLE for one year with a team who can showcase him for his next contract. LAC would be a great spot with Blake out. CP3 would make him look great. Toronto still needs a stretch 4 and he'll go deep into the playoffs. Cleveland is always a good spot with lebron. He makes everyone look like a star. Brad Stevens, Steve Clifford and terry stots got a lot of guys paid in the offseason. They know how to get the most out of C,B level talent.
