I think we may have rushed him back too soon, he hasn't really shown any explosion. It's probably unrealistic to expect him to be a mid 40s in percentage from three but I think what's concerning is his lack of explosion. If he wasn't dunking on you last year, he was getting really impressive chase down blocks. He's not doing that so far in his return

Horrible at inbound pass??? Showing not very high IQ out there as well as not hitting shots that he could last season. He competes hard though.

I heard that his wrist isn't 100%, hopefully he'll start shooting more consistently.

His defense took a dip too. A lot of fake hustle out there lately. Idk what's going on.

Reality is setting in for the people who thought he was a better prospect than Justise.

He'll be fine, never a star but a serviceable bench player. He'll look much better when his 3's are being set up by a star who attracts attention and sucks in the D vs just shooting bail out shots as the ball swings around the perimeter.

Honestly I suspected that he was gonna struggle after recovering from his knee injury. This is not the Josh we would of seen if he didnt tear his knee. Josh used a lot of explosion in his game, on defense and on offense. Now he is two steps slow. He cant stop on the dime and recover on defense like last year, his jump shot is slower and you have seen him attack the rim at all. He gonna have to step back for a while and work on his game again.

Agreed. The Jrich in my avi is a completely different player than the one we're seeing now. I had a strong feeling the injury would affect him when he returned. Sucks when a young player gets injured as it can affect them psychologically as well.

You're absolutely correct. My expectations for a guy who just tore his knee up are pretty low. He's going to need this whole season to recover. Injuries are a real significant contributor to performance. That's pretty straight forward. A simple injury in the gym can screw you up for a long time. So if you guys see a player whose performance is a bit off, that should be a consideration and taken into account when forming your opinion.

Yeah, a partially tear on your MCL/ACL takes time to heal. Most athletes can come back from it rather quickly but risk causing more damage. I am sure this is on Josh's head right now. I never saw him as an all-star player but he can definitely be a rotation player in this league as long as he can hit his jumpers at a respectable percentage and play the athletic hard nosed "D" he has shown he can play.

No he doesn't suck, but holy chit, compared to last year, he sucks ass.

this guy was automatic last season from 3, we knew he would come back down to earth, but he looks like chit this season, a lot of really bad decision making out there. he shot 46% from 3 (over 50% after the break) last season. this season he is shooting 31%. it's phucking awful. Last season he was untradeable to me. This season, i would include him in a trade for a nice asset.

^whiteside has plenty of reason to be upset about lack of late touches, but then he pulls some stupid **** like refusing to pass out of a double, he still has a far way to come with the decision making, he is basically putting up #1 center stats on raw talent, he has come a long way, but still a ways to go. But for this season, that was are not trying to win, we should be giving whiteside the ball and a chance to develop. sick and tired of watching winslow, waiters, or jrich waste possessions.

the new cba is going to make it harder for us to sign an elite talent moving forward, might need to push all the chips at the trade deadline.

Dragic lost the game yesterday. He missed 3 free throws in the last minute and gave Orlando a chance to win. That sucks for a professional player, making 20M, and a PG (supposed to make free throws). Times like this I miss Wade closing games. Can't believe we lost that game yesterday.

If we keep playing like that then we could have Lonzo Ball as our PG next year :)
