Assuming we don't win the lottery and end up with an 7-10 pick range, it's not that horrible. Pat just called Winslow UD a glue guy not a franchise guy, so we know what he thinks about him. Say we get Hayward this offseason.

Wall
Hayward or Gay
Whiteside
Tj
That team and fillers should make it to the second round.

That seems like a Pat type of move.

Also it wouldn't shock me if this team gets Cousins.
A trade on draft day or later(when the Heat can trade their 2017 pick) of Whiteside; 2017 pick, and Winslow for Cousins would be a great haul for Sacramento. I think that offer would trump anything other teams may bid for Cousins.

If a trade package around Whiteside for Cousins happens, I'd be pissed as hell if I'm Hassan. Whiteside just got a new house, plus he has to spend half the winter in Sacramento.

Oh no doubt a team like that can make the playoffs, and possibly win a round or two with that core in the near future. However doing such moves ensures the treadmill, and that's what I fear will happen soon.

But he gets to be the star of the team that drafted him. A very happy ending haha.

Interesting but not realistic especially the part where the main piece of the trade is Dragic. With the new CBA it makes more sense for him to sign long term with the Kings instead of leaving or forcing a trade. To much money to give up. Once Cousins is signed the Kings if they want to can ship him out to the highest bidder.

I'm afraid a quick rebuild seems very unlikely, especially a rebuild to a championship contender.

With the way the new CBA is, players will have a bigger incentive to stay on their respective teams. The $$$ are just massive. And should there be a disgruntled all star/superstar level player out there looking to switch teams, we just don't have a player who has the connections to seal the deal this time around. Player relationships especially in THIS era matters.

That leaves me with the fear that a "quick rebuild" will just put us in a treadmill position.

Whiteside would totally check out in Sacramento and they know it. Not gonna happen

Yea you definitely have selective reading. Riley thinks the world of Justise and isn't trading him. That roster you posted kinda sucks too, the pieces dont fit. It also IS horrible to trade a 7-10 pick AND one of our best young assets for Wall. Leave this **** for Riley

It's so strange to see people here willing to pay Rudy Gay 3 year 75M while not willing to pay Wade 2 year 50M...

Come on....Rudy Gay?

Its more like trying to make the best out of a bad situation. Wall is locked up long term so to get him we will need to pay, if that is the direction we want to take. Also what realistic options are out there this FA? This crop of FA sucks for us, Curry and Durant will resign the same with Paul and Blake. So Hayward and Gay are the next best on the list unless i am forgetting someone.

Would like Ibaka and Gallinari. Maybe draft Malik Monk. Seems like a pure scorer go to guy we are missing.

C Hassan Whiteside C Willie Reed
PF Serge Ibaka PF James Johnson
SF Danilo Gallinari SF Justise Winslow
SG Malik Monk SG Josh Richrdson
PG Goran Dragic PG Tyler Johnson

I don't wanna count, but I think we don't have enough space to make it work.
