Season Speculation, Trade Ideas & Discussion 2: End This Knightmare!

Post#1 » by Kerrsed » Thu Dec 22, 2016 3:12 am

Time for a new thread! Continued from: viewtopic.php?p=50704609#p50704609

So who exactly would we be interested in from the Wolves (That also might be available)?

You guys would have a little better idea what McDonough's philosophy is, but my guess is that Thibs wants Chandler.

Rubio's probably available but makes little sense. Tyus Jones maybe, too. I'm sure Bazz is probably on the block. Lowkey Wiggins maaaaaaaaaaay be available for the right return but I highly doubt it.

They're probably trying to get defensive big man help. I'm almost 100% sure that Thibs would want Chandler.

EDIT: Maybe Tucker, too. That might be more likely since the money is smaller.

I agree and think all 3 of our best defenders (Chandler/Tucker/Bledsoe) are totally Thibs-type players. I just am worried as i wouldnt wasnt to really lose those guys for a bleh return (as our defense would be pretty non-exsitent), and with guys like Dunn/Lavine/Wiggins/Dieng/KAT most likely off the table, there really isnt much else to like about what that return would be.

I mean i might take a flyer on Shabazz, but there really isnt much to make us move that needle (in terms of making a trade AND in terms of bettering out team). Im not a fan of Rubios either.

We would definitely trade Chandler/Tucker. Do we know who is available on the Wolves?

I almost showed this tweet earlier until I realized he was just referring to what Wolfson said that gaspar already posted so it would have been redundant.

I think many teams talk though so not sure. I would take Tyus Jones right now though and let him and Ulis compete for back up guard, or if Bledsoe is moved, lead guard right now in case we draft Josh Jackson.

So if we lose that is a silver lining, though our next five games are extremely tough so we may pull away for the lead even with a win.

There are still some really awful teams. I think we still somehow finish with more wins than Dallas, Brooklyn and possibly Miami. Is Ben Simmons coming back this year?

Chandler/Tucker for Pekovic/Tyus Jones/2020 1st top 10 protected. Pekovic would be an expiring next season
Knight for Noel

Bledsoe/Ullis/Jones
Booker/Barbosa
Warren/Dudley
Chriss/Bender
Len/Noel

Should lock in a top 3 pick with that lineup.

We can only pray that happens. That trade might guarantee we finish dead last.

Wolves can have Chandler/Bledsoe/Tucker for Wiggins/Dunn/filler.

They get their 3 vets. We get younger.

Bledsoe
LaVine
Tucker
KAT
Chandler

They make a playoff run.

Dunn/Ulis
Booker/Barbosa
Wiggins/JD
TJ/Chriss
Len/Bender

Maybe we move Kight for Noel or a pick.

Then obviously we use our lottery pick for a PG in case Dunn doesn't pan out and Ulis is too small.

They are not trading Wiggins, especially for Bledsoe and scraps

Maybe not but he just doesn't strike me as a Thibs kind of player.

Yeah, thats true. I highly doubt their management would allow him to trade Wiggins for a package like that though.

I'm not sure about that. Both Miami and Dallas seem like they are still in it to win it. Dallas' record is a bit deceiving since they've had a crap load of injuries. At a few points, it seemed like they were fielding a D-league team around Barnes.
