I'll try a trade since I'm feeling creative this morning:

Timberwolves out: Wiggins, Rubio, Dunn
Timberwolves in: Bledsoe, Gay, Noel, Mia 1st 2018

Gay can replace most of what Wiggins does while Bledsoe and Noel would be an upgrade over what they currently have and fit in Thibs system.

76ers out: Noel
76ers in: Dunn

76ers get rid of their problem child and get the PG they were supposedly interested in during the draft last year.

Suns out: Bledsoe, Mia 1st 2018
Suns in: Wiggins

Suns cash in on their current best player and get younger and a potential star in Wiggins. Also clears the way for a PG in the draft next year.

Kings out: Gay
Kings in: Rubio

Kings get a good PG to pair with Cousins while getting rid of malcontent Gay.

I like Warren too much to push him to the bench for good. I think he can be a solid middle star player like maybe Deng. I don't want to see Warren pushed to the PF spot if we somehow landed Wiggins.

I like Dieng, and think a Chandler swap would be fitting for both teams. We get younger, and Thibs gets the defensive big, as well as a solid vet leader. I don't think Bledsoe makes sense in a Wolves trade.

I still like a Knight for Okafor trade though.

With SAC inching upwards, maybe they make a move to keep DMC happy:

http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=gmf3y2c

They send us their 2022 and 2024 firsts, unprotected. We send all of these guys but Koufos (and Afflalo, if there are no takers) to a third team in search of a lanky backup wing, to be identified.

Yeah, I want to blow it up. And there's only one player the trading of whom constitutes a blowup. That's Bled. As a bonus, we help ensure that DMC stays in Sacto, where he'll never win a ring.

I'm not an expert at measuring value but the first one seems lopsided against us, the second seems reasonable in value but I don't see it improving us and I'm not sure Minnesota would be interested in parting ways with Lavine just yet. The last one seems way out of proportion, in our favor. I love Warren but we can only hope he rises to the Butler level, neither Chriss nor Knight carry anywhere near enough added value to bring that deal home IMO.

Any thought of Okafor for Knight and our second rounder 2017? Too little on our end, or just enough? What are your thoughts on Okafor.

Huh? We're not salary dumping Knight. He's annoying as hell to watch but he's got talent.

Not sure if that would be worth it for us, but thanks for your honesty.

Zero chance Nuggets trade Jokic. Unless a superstar or a Towns or Porzingis comes to them.

I cannot even emphasize that enough...

When we reach the point where we're confident we have enough talent on our roster to compete at a high level, we can consider trading away a potential high pick for a marginal starter. But right now, we need the possibility of a star far more than we need Okafor. So, I agree, not worth it for us. Unless they'd let us lottery protect the Miami pick and even then it's doubtful unless we already have a deal in place for Chandler or Len.

Lavine has much more value then Bledsoe and the other parts don't change that. Jimmy Butler is a superstar and that's a horrendous return for him.

I love TJ too much to even entertain trade scenarios involving him. Favorite player on the team.

I don't know if I want to trade our guys for picks who won't hit their prime if they are even good players at all until 2030-2032. 14-16 years is a long time to wait. I'm patient, but I'm not THAT patient.

I would only consider trading TJ in part of a package for a superstar such as Boogie.

But man... would love to have Lavine/Booker as our backcourt.
And then give em a head coach that emphasizes offense and is willing to let them shoot Curry/Klay range.

I don't think we should trade Warren. We should just offer multiple picks.

I just don't see how more draft picks are going to work, when we can't even find playing time for 2/3 of last year's draft. One of which was #4 overall.

We draft a PG, it pushes Ulis down the order.
We draft a wing, him or Warren becomes a bench player.
We draft a big... Good luck with that.

Until we make some moves, all these picks seem wasted to me. And if we make trades, what's coming back? More picks? More players who will be given playing time?

We need to start consolidating this roster before assets depreciate further.

Really like this trade. To me it makes a lot of sense for all. If there was a way we could flip Knight for Rubio I would do that too, because he's a much better playmaker for our youth. SAC needs shooting at the PG spot to complement Cousins' inside game.
