While the fact that Melo's dad is dead is obviously sad and rightly the kind of thing that should make such talk off limits my focus was on the racist undertone. I think it was very clear what he meant by talking about them having money and not having fathers. It was very clear to me that you had a racist pig playing on a stereotype that his bigoted mind can't get around. I think the real problem is that George Karl has a planation owner's mindset but he was only ever an overseer and the slaves are of way more value. He should have coached at Dartmouth or somewhere where his biases wouldn't have inhibited his ability to do his job correctly.

I agree a 100% and this is 100x worse than Phil's posse comment. There are definitely racist undertones.

And to think, Melo's dad dies of cancer and this fool who had and survived cancer would say that. Unbelievable but at the same time a 100% believable n

Reminder that this is the same guy that said Andrew Iguodala was a spy just bacause Iguodala didn't hurt Curry as Karl asked him to and told Curry to watch out.

Scumbag.

Everyone is sh*tting on Karl, even the NY Media who like to blame Melo for everything, I love it!

Nobody is going to stand for that. I am sure he is about to get the heat from so many ex NBA players who are in TV etc as well. He makes Jackson posse comment look like it never happened.

Oh ****, didn't even notice that.

And given our likely draft position this year good scouting is essential.

Don't care this season. Tank next year for this, and tank hard. I want white LeSatan.

There are folks defending his comment about Melo not having a dad when his dad DIED from cancer at a young age.

How **** pathetic is your agenda that you think that's ok?

dude the only agenda is you saying agenda

karl said something very dumb and in poor taste when all he could've just said was "being young, rich, and famous could be overwhelming to a kid who unfortunately didn't have a father around to teach him how to be a man"

that's a normal thing, i grew up without a dad and i'm still trying to find how the world works on my own.
LOL Y U MAD THO?

Fat Kat wrote:
Karl wrote Anthony and Martin not having fathers in their lives became a detriment to their personalities.

“Kenyon and Carmelo carried two big burdens: all that money and no father to show them how to act like a man,” Karl wrote.

Classic case of racial paternalism. I suppose Karl's daddy taught him how to take potshots at players. He needs his azz kicked.

Up and down Broadway.
