I'm finally ready to include Varejao in a trade. It pains me to do it because he's been such an important piece since coming over. But I just feel like he's a tiny bit to old for us. If Philly includes McConell with Noel, I think I'd do it. Reluctantly.

But they can't sign him to an extension right?

So this would be a rental or something?

It would have to be a rental. Because he wants a max contract, and we have to sign Durant and Curry.

So no sense dreaming about him IMO.

We'll be fine and there may be a gem or two to choose from who may want to ring chase. Patience is the key here. Oh and we're 20-4 lol

There is a scenario where we could keep him tho. If Durant said yes to the non bird raise (20% more off of what he's making now) we could keep rights to all our guys and could then match any offer. This is all hypotetical tho I don't think we can afford Noel from a trade assets perspective.

It surprises me that the Warriors are listed as one of the teams engaged with the 76ers on Noel, since they would have a hard time re-signing him this summer. I will trust the Warriors front office if they do pull the trigger on a deal. I would then assume they would have made provisions to fit him into their cap space some how for next season.

Trading for Noel is a potential chistry bomb waiting to go off. It could really upset the apple cart.

I would be blown away at them taking that risk for an often injured kid who wants to be maxed out next season. I call BS.

Not to mention he stands at a willowy 220 pounds.

For comparison sake, 6'1" Derek Fisher weighed 210-220 for most of his career....

The Noel trade idea is ridiculous from a financial perspective. Myers wouldn't dare potentially screwing up this team on a 21 yr old often injured guy about to be overpayed happily by the Nets, Pels or Mavs.

Nurkic is out of the rotation in Denver which means he's probably on the trade block.
He has one more season on his rookie contract, he's a better rebounder and he's not useless on offense. He's also bigger than Noel.
If we want to target a young big, he's the one, not Noel.

What is the absolute most the Warriors would give up for Nene? Kevon Looney and James Michael McAdoo get it done?
Disclaimer: Trades I post shouldn't make you stressed or angry if you disagree. If you say it's unproductive because it won't happen and we're only allowed to post deals that actually happen, it takes away 99% of trades here and the fun out of the board.

Huh, it looks like Nene is a regular part of the Rockets' rotation and they're winning so why would they trade him?

Especially now with Capella out for a few weeks?

Durability and future contract/cap matters mean Noel is VERY unlikely to end up here......plus....who would we even want to swap that's wanted by the Sixers?
CENSORED... No comment.

Nurk has been pretty good this season. It's more of a function of them having too many moving parts. I don't see anything that would move the needle for the Nuggets unless Klay were going out, though—they have a bunch of good wings and the most realistic asset the Dubs have is McCaw.

I'd MAYBE move McAdoo and Verejao for him, but that's about it. Definitely not including Looney, who has years ahead of him as a decent backup defensive guy. Nene has about 40 minutes of actual on court value left, which might be good for the playoffs, but doesn't do enough to give up any value for him.

Yes, Klay would have to be included. I think Denver would bite on something like Nurkic + Gary Harris + Murray for Klay Thompson.

Curry / Murray / Livingston
Harris / Clark / McCaw
Durant / Iguodala /
Green / West / Looney
Nurkic / Pachulia / McGee / Jones

Amazing depth and 10 millions less on the books.

I think it would be a beneficial move in the long run, but we're doing really well right now and it's better to not ruin the chemistry we've built.

That's not half bad. Don't think GSW does it, as you said, but long-term they may need to make a move for depth.

Shaun Livingston for Roy Hibbert?

I don't think I'd eveN do this but messing around with trade checker. Livingston is great at cutting and getting easy buckets and his ball handling for second unit is major.

Hibbert plays 15mpg for Hornets and gets 1bpg. He can backup zaza. Just think we still need another big and a solid big body screener for Curry

Warriors are set at center Zaza starts Jevale is the enemy backup Green is the closer if needed. West can guard centers in a pinch. Andy is there to give 6 fouls.

Looney Jones developmental.
