He won't make it over Isaiah--numbers and record are too good. He can take Kemba's spot if his record is close enough. Wall really needs to get above .500 in order to make the team. If he's below .500 I don't see it, despite his numbers being great.

Kemba doesn't have a spot. It would be Kemba taking Wall's perennial AS spot - which I don't think will happen if both teams are only a few games within .500

The coaches, players, and fans all know Wall is a bonafide All-Star.

kembas team has a better record and he has all-star worthy stats

if John wall cant get the wiz above .500 kemba will snatch his spot--it's that simple imo, yes the difference might just be a few games, but "currently in playoffs" is such a huge bullet point for the coaches

No. I think perception, "star power", and counting stats matter more. If Kemba and Wall are posting similar numbers a month from now, and Charlotte remains 2.5 games ahead of Washington, Wall is still going to make it over Kemba. No doubt in my mind. Whether or not he "deserves" it is another question, but he'll make it.

You will see Kyrie will start. Last year he wasn't even playing because injuries still was very high in ranks

Wall has certainly played his way in. Wade's game has fallen off. Kemba and Beal are borderline.

With Butler playing the 3 Beal has very little competition at the 2 in the East.

Major props to Wall. POM is a big deal.

Beal has no chance because all guards are considered the same.

Sigh. What could've have been if Ernie didn't have a boner for Beal. :(

Reading the GB, you'd think Wall wouldn't make it.

Apparently Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan, Kyrie Irving are locks. With Kemba Walker & Isaiah Thomas getting in over Wall because their teams are better.

He's got a chance. Not a good chance, but definitely some chance.

The only guys ahead of him are:
Wall
Lowry
DeRozan
Walker
Kyrie
Thomas

Beal could conceivably catch one of them if they have a dropoff. Plus there's the potential that one or two get hurt.

It would help if the Wizards keep winning 2 out of every 3 games for a while.

The GB is populated by Toronto-riding stat geeks. You can make a statistical case that those guys have an edge over Wall, but in the real world, raw numbers matter a lot. Wall's 24 and 10 on a respectable .553 TS% while leading the league in steals is going to win more All-Star votes than Kemba's 23 and 5, Lowry's 22 and 7, or Isaiah and his matchup problems on D.
