And 11-for-friggen-16 in FG shots.
And 3-6 with the 3-ball.
And a steal and a block as cherries on top!

I don't know what I liked more: Orlando shooting above 50% or holding the Lakers below 40%.

Coach Vogel slept well last night.

He has been on a tear lately but the ball movement is so much better with him off the floor. He needs to get with the program because Fournier is such a ballstoper. He has gotten better at passing so hope he continues.

The Magic became the first NBA team to block nine shots in a quarter since Oklahoma City did it on Feb. 9, 2012. Their play eclipsed the franchise record of eight in a quarter set on Jan. 21, 1992 against Minnesota. To put that into perspective, Shaquille O’Neal was a still a junior at LSU then and the Magic got four blocks each from Greg Kite and Stanley Roberts in the record-setter nearly 25 years ago.

Takes time to learn a new team.

He's trying to play his way off the team maybe by excelling. Ibaka is a capstone to a title-worthy team.
He is showing what he can do on O if given the rock.

This makes no sense. Hes a free agent at the end of the season anyway.

Really good game for most of Magic players.
Payton was smoking hot . He should build his confidence on games like this, trust your shot man !
Ibaka, turned things around from start of season, plays with effort and energy.
Biyombo, i don't like his salary, i never will, but can't question his heart. Not his fault that he is overpayed.
Vučević was meh, ok. Didn't show much energy or effort in first half. Was better in second.
Watson was pretty damn solid.
DJ Augustin was making his shots, but damn 4 TO in 18 min.
Gordon forces his shots sometimes, 3-10, again limited on 24 mpg.

Bad. Meeks and Jeff. There is no enough words to express how bad they are night in and night out, Meeks is shooter who most of time can't shoot. 1-6 for 3. Now down to 35% (35% FG overall, awful ) and all that because of TWO good games of 13 ( or 12 not sure) that he played. When you isolate that two good games away you get shooter that shoots 22% for 3 in 10 games on 26% FG.
Hezonja's situation is getting to laughable levels. He literally was last man in. He showed effort, sprinted whole time in whole two min that he got. Trade at this point is only solution.

Now team has 2 days off, probably time to mentally prepare ourselfs for Rudy Gay haha

One of his biggest knocks was being inconsistent and one of the things I thought he needs to really improve on along with shooting. I don't know why anyone is still surprised by this.

Lakers are a bad team and they were missing Randle, without hands down our best player we still beat them like we're supposed to. Good win.

Finally a big win at home. About time. That first quarter was great fun. Block party. I was worried when they creeped back midway through the fourth that it will be another close win at best, but we had a good reaction. Payton was awesome. When he is aggressive and his shot is falling, he looks really, really good Ibaka is looking pretty spry for a 36 years old. ;)

Any player would look really, really good if their shot is falling and playing aggressive. Consistency is the issue.

I was watching the game at an irish pub because my uncle and his band of pipers were playing, and I was the only one going nuts in there with all of those blocks. That was a great display of shot blocking, and it helped that the Lakers players seemed to be taking the ball to the rim soft.

is he really though? We had Harris, oh Harris is a ball stopper. We had Dipo, Dipo is a ball stopper. We have Fournier, oh Fournier is a ball stopper. Even though Fournier is 5th in the league at SG for assists (or was last time i checked this week)

It's easy to overlook/forget that Payton is still just 22 years old. He's hardly a finished product.

His FG% and FT% have gone up each year he's been in the league while his turnovers have gone down. There is real tangible improvement being made in his game, I just think collectively we're all a little impatient because his progression hasn't been as fast as we have wanted/as fast as other players in their third season.

Yes, pretty clear at this point he is breaking out and still getting better. Still 4 years until his prime. If he gets any stronger he may start shattering opposing point guards on those drives to basket.

The Lakers put up some wins early. But now they are on pace to finish in the bottom 3 again...

Hopefully the get bumped by the lottery and lose that top-3 protected pick to Philly so that we get their 2019 pick.
