Yeah, let's just throw them to the D-League for a couple of years. There they'll learn how to compete and return as all-stars so we can put them in the rotation and win some titles! In the meantime we'll rock with our fabulous 30+ yo vets playing that heavy minutes so much needed for their development, so that they could peak at the age of 35,36.
Seriously, what kind of an argument is 'rookies are not ready'?? It's perfectly natural for newcomers to struggle in the beginning. How will they ever BE ready without proper chance to learn and improve, those minutes on the court? Suns are in the bottom 5 teams in the league, landed 2 top 10 picks in the previous draft and still playing veterans almost 40 mpg! How could you justify that?
Is maybe Ingram playing significantly better than Bender or Chriss? And yet he's getting as much playing time as these two combined. Not to mention Hield, Murray, Sabonis or Brown who is playing for a solid PO team. If a coach whose team is competing for a top 3 seed in the conference can find space in his rotation for a super raw rookie and our's can't, then alarm is already screaming.
