As long as they don't somehow beat Seattle, I think they're good.

My mindset as well

#2 isn't a terrible spot to be in and at least it's not like previous years where they've won and cost them 3 or more spots in the draft.

It just boggles the mind though that somehow whenever they have terrible seasons they manage to screw up draft position with a meaningless win at the end.

It's like the team fails at failing.

I can't believe they **** won. 15 points in the last five-odd minutes? You've got to be kidding me. The Browns had just gift-wrapped the #1 pick, and they go and blow it. Ugh. Thought the Rams had it in the bag when I checked the score with about seven to go and it was 21-7. I mean, when was the last time we even scored in the fourth quarter?

Yea I was pretty pissed, now Myles Garrett will be a 10 time Pro Bowler for the Cleveland Browns. But you cant tell pro players now to try hard and not win. On the bright side, this upcoming draft is deep and talented with pass rushers...Also, since when did the 49ers have a pass rush this season? It was on display against the Rams and both of our CBs got picks. Amazing what a little pass rush can do for a secondary. Also congrats to Buckner for getting his rookie sack goal of 6 sacks. May he get many many more as a Niner.

The Steelers could rest players on Sunday since I'm not sure they can change their playoff position so there is a chance the Browns can pull another win out.

Seattle will have something to play for because they can get the 2nd seed with an ATL and DET loss and neither of those teams play before them.

On the plus side at this moment we hold the SOS tiebreaker over the Jags, Bears, and Browns so even if they managed to fluke another win they can still hold the #2 spot. And in fact we might be locked in on it but someone with math skills beyond me would have to chime in on that.

Side note, its a shame this win could've been more appreciated.....

it just shows where the state of the franchise and the faithful are.

In a weird way it's better to be absolutely terrible than to be just mediocre because you can at least get excited about the draft and the possibility of making changes that will turn the team around.

I root for them to lose this season because taking the long view of things it's better to get the best possible player in the draft in the hopes he pans out and we get a guy that is a key piece to winning for years to come.
