I'm kinda the opposite. I'll consider going to one if the Cowboys or Raiders aren't in it (meaning I've had plenty of opportunities in the last 15 years). But I refuse to go to one if Dallas is one of the participants. About the only gathering I'll consider is with the in laws or a close friend's dad who is terrific to watch a game with. But that's it.
I'd probably be the same way as this. If it's the Chargers, I would want full concentration on the tv without distraction. That said, they have Chargers meet up parties every week for games in Austin at bars with like 50 rowdy people and those are fun, so that would be fun as well.
I went to a big one when they played the niners back in the day but I knew they'd lose. Won a bunch of money on prop bets. Like Chargers - most kickoff return yards. Niners - most punt return yards.
