Good question. I am not expecting him to join the Rockets next season, but I won't be surprised if I am wrong. Personally I am thinking 2018-2019, but Les loves the China Connection, and the kid has already been in a commercial with LeBron, so...

Damn I completely forgot about Zhou Qi. He fits really well in a higher tempo system. Still a few years away from being able to contribute probably.

Because they are both Chinese and tall, any time people mention Zhou Qi there seems to be an immediate Yao comparison. That is not fair to Zhou Qi. Yao was a freaking human anomaly and physical specimen. There are probably only a handful of people on the planet who can be physically compared to Yao.

Dwight, DeAndre, everyone else of that height/FT ability - learn from the Rookie.

Bender made an effortless one handed scoop pass to get Knight running in transition. Very impressed w Benders playmaking potential

Yes, that was his best trait in highlight videos leading up to the draft...his passing. He played PG growing up.

I missed it. Who is shooting FTs underhanded? Is this a normal thing? If so, awesome.

Bender was born in 1997...I don't need a walker, but suddenly I feel like I need a walker.

Bender should be playing 30 minutes a game. Also please get rid of Knight. I need more Ulis in my life.

Ryan Anderson - "we wanted to come out and make a statement." Pretty sure beating the Suns isn't going to have the impact you're looking for, Ryno

Bender continues to impress in the limited minutes he receives. Sure, he makes the occasional rookie mistake, but without consistent playing time he'll never have an opportunity to learn from them.

Tucker is still making rookie mistakes and we keep giving him all the playing time he can handle. It's just mind baffling. It really is like we are trying to develop him into a cornerstone.

That spell in the 2nd with Bender and Len in there had some very impressive rim protection (after the initial rookie jitters). Convinced that if Ulis was in there too, our offense would would have looked a lot better as well.

Hey guys - thank you again for the invitation to participate in this game thread! I hope that we all went to the coast and had a few laughs!

What Houston has learned about Phoenix: This team has a ridiculous amount of young talent.

What Phoenix has learned about Houston: Never use the word "unprotected" with this sinful lot.

What we all learned: Chinanu Onuaku will save basketball for Big Men.
