Recently (in last week or so) while I'm typing replies in the full editor screen, the typing cursor will disappear and I have to re-click the text box to continue typing, as if the box loses focus.

It's very annoying because I'll continue typing for a split second without noticing, hit the spacebar and the screen will page-down.

Chrome 54, W7 - haven't tried other browsers.

I don't know if this is considered a bug, but the OCD in me is making me point it out.

When I'm on another forum and I have a quick link to my favorite forum " Milwaukee bucks forum" the icon is the old bucks logo from a couple years ago.

Anyway to update it to the new logo?

If my description is poor, I made a screenshot:

I'm so used to the new logo the old logo just looks so bad now.

Can someone help me log-in into my very first account? I think it pre-dates 2010. I was a lurker for several years before signing up, but the account may be from 2003-2005.. if not, 2010 at the very least. I think it was drake vonz or hornetsfan704 or something with hornetsfan in it... I wish I could be exact. There's also a 99% probability that the account is banned as well..

Edit: JR SMITH_23 may be my first username. Can this account be unbanned please?

This was a server side problem, the search indexes were not being updated. I have corrected this and the indexes are being updated as I write this, it should be working as per normal in the next 15-20 minutes.

Edit: Indexes have been updated, the search show now present recent posts.

Can't seem to make new topics in general NBA forum. Not sure why? Haven't been banned there and don't post much but went to make topic and there is no 'new topic' button for me in General NBA forum.

Thanks

This one gets pointed out every now and then, so I know I'm not showing anyone anything they haven't seen, but, we really need to get this bug fixed:

Edit by gnif: Removed as it breaks the output, thanks for bringing this to my attention, I will look into it when I get a chance.

Okay, I know this has been addressed more than once, and is probably "working as intended". But I really have to protest the current functionality of the auto- twitter&youtube -embed. There are just so many cases where I want to link to a tweet or a clip but don't want it to show inline in a post.

For example, every time I do an investigative post and want to cite a list of sources, I want to be able to put a bunch of links at the bottom, in a space-conscientious format, for people to click through to at their leisure, instead of having a dozen or more tweets, clips, and whatever else show up in the post.

Or if I'm making a conversational/argumentative post, and want to link to relevant but non-essential sources in context by making a word or words a hyperlink, without having tweets or large videos break up my sentence/paragraph.

These are not edge cases. These are things I do in rhythm while conversing every single day, and I often have to stop and think about different ways to cite my sources as a result.

I'm no programmer so maybe there's a reason this is not easy, but my preferred solution would be to simply have tags over-rule auto-embed functionality.

So:
- If someone uses the tweet/youtube/etc. tags correctly, great.
- If no tags are used, the auto-embed feature does its thing.
- If a tweet or youtube video or whatever else is placed inside the [url][/url] tags, the auto-embed functionality is skipped, and the link shows up like this.

And for what it's worth, it's not just me. I see all the time other posters doing the same thing, winding up with [url=]youtube videos[/url] or [url=
Read on Twitter
]tweets[/url] right smack dab in the middle of their sentences, like so.

For the record, the workaround is to add "www" to all twitter links, and add "www" and remove "http://" from all youtube links. That will allow you to hyperlink like so:

testing
testing

But it's a broken workaround, at least in the case of youtube vids: If you edit, preview, or quote, the urls get auto-adjusted and everything is borked again. So you have to keep re-adjusting the urls every time you edit a post, or if you preview multiple times before submission, or if you quote someone (which won't happen of course).

For example, this is what happens when I quote the above post:
