We'll draft the BPA assuming that he's playing in the NCAA. I wouldn't focus on Ntilikina too much, remember that the Heat had Kristaps at 13 on their draft board and while that may seem like bad scouting in hindsight, remember that for every KP there's a dozen Darko's Bargnani's or Hezonja's. I doubt our FO is ready too buy in. Finding gold abroad is what the Spurs do.

Looking at Lonzo Ball he is absolutely setting the court on fire with his shooting but he's only averaging around 13.7ppg, he projects to be a floor general but where does he project as a scorer? Is he a pass first guy or can be become a 20ppg PG in the league, because we really need a first option shot creator to add to our young core.

Ball has only made one 2-point jumper so far. Also, I don't think his 3-point shooting will translate to the NBA.

I think we have great odds of winning the lottery. Not once in all of our 9 trips to the lottery have we won, in fact we've gotten a worst lottery position after the lottery 6 times. I think numbers are on our side that we have a better than 75% chance of getting a top 3 pick if we have the 6th worst record this season.

1. Fultz
2. Jackson
those two should be on top of the Heat list.

IMO hasn't shown the athleticism to warrant the Durant comparison, they should just call most skiny prospects ugly instead of putting that comp. over their heads

Hope he's healthy soon tho

There are two players who I really like in this NBA draft: Markelle Fultz and Jayson Tatum.

Jayson Tatum: a 6-8 forward who reminds me of a more athletic Carmelo Anthony. I will say that he is the middle ground between Lebron and Melo. He can shoot over the top and has the body to attack the basket in a similar fashion to James. A player with the tools to become an elite defender.

Markelle Fultz: My favorite player and everybody's favorite. If we don't select him, it will be like loosing Dwyane Wade for a second time.

Jayson Taytum will be an undersized PF in the NBA.

If he's able to put on 15-20 lbs, you think he'll become a 18-20 ppg/6 rpg/5 assist guy?

Slightly OT, but what prospects do you think have the best chance at succeeding here given how the roster is currently structured and how short of a lease they give young players?

I'm not saying he'll become the best player, but I think Markannen has the best... if not one of the best chances of succeeding here. The team lacks shooting and a PF, and Lauri can provide that. I'm not saying Lauri is better than JJ/Fultz, but the team already has wings and a PG(assuming Dragic stays here), so I can see Lauri having more chances to prove himself here than some of the other prospects.

Besides Markkanen and Fultz, DSJ. Whiteside and DSJ would work well together on the court and we need a backup PG.

Markkanen, Tatum and DSJ are the top 3 guys in my opinion. Fultz, Jackson and Ball in the next tier. Markkanen just fits perfectly next to Whiteside on both sides of the ball. I feel like you can just plug him in day 1 and he will look good. I think DSJ would fit great as well, a PnR with him and Whiteside would be deadly from day 1. And the more of thought about it I think Tatum would be a really good fit for you guys. He fits in with his defensive upside and all the young defensive guys you guys have. Plus you guys need a great perimeter scorer that is a threat in the half court. Tatum can be that elite perimeter scoring threat that you guys really need.

The point guard position is tricky IMO. It's very hard to have a player that can give you consistent scoring AND a good amount of assists. You can either have a shoot-first PG like Kyrie/Steph or someone who's main task is to facilitate like a Rondo/Rubio. Only players that do a good job at both are CP3 and Russell Westbrook and the latter still shoots a bunch. Other than Fultz the other PGs seem like risks. You're rolling the dice if you draft Ball or Fox but there aren't a lot of complete PGs in the draft even if this is a deep draft.

Isn't this almost every draft though? No ones usually a "guaranteed" star but the #1 pick. Also, some info on the lottery PGs. Ball has the 3rd best assist% of all of them while Fultz is #1. Probably due to usage so doesn't take much away from Ball's passing skills.
