Mitch adding another big guy to go along with Deng/Mozgov/Randle/Nance(hurt)/Black/Robinson/Zubac

Brilliant.

A stretch big is just what the doctor ordered. Outside Mog our bigs have really struggled to face up and score.

He's a completely Unrestricted FA after the Rockets-Nets fiasco. The thing is if the Lakers were impressed by his workout, I wonder just how bad his back problems are. Supposedly he couldn't even pass a physical. Very curious how this all plays out.

so is there any real evidence which prove that he did not pass a physical?

He wants over 7 mill a year... which isn't terrible if you get a good player, but someone has to go if this happens.

If he's healthy and we're able to sign him, this could offer us more flexibility with trading any of the above mentioned players for other pieces we need.

His passing and ability to stretch the floor would be a good addition to this team.

If he's an upgrade on what we already have then why not pick him up? Looks like he's better than Moz, T-Rob, and Tarik in many areas... Even if those guys have played well in stretches for their skill sets.
Talking about how bad Julius Randle is:

I vote Calderon or Huertas, probably Huertas since Calderon is a huge expiring contract trade chip. DMo a C/PF, the small ball line up will definitely have an upgrade at either C or PF position when Luke goes small.

DO IT MITCH!

Edit: Forgot about MWP being on the roster. Probably cut him and make him into an assistant coach.

I really like Black. Black and Nance work really well together although he doesn't provide much offense.

Robinson has been playing his role great and he provides good defense. His rebounds and hustle really help out or second unit.

I honestly think we need to keep Black and Robinson until the season is over. I think we need a second unit PG and another scoring forward.Ingram is 2-3 years away from being able to contribute nightly.

DMo could be nice with our first unit instead of Mozgov. This would open up the lane and space the floor better.I just don't know what we would do with Mozgov though.. we could bring him off the bench but Black and Robinson may be more useful in terms of the style of play we want to run with the second unit.

Tough decisions from the FO with this roster. I love our main bench.. depsite Clarksons slump. I think we have a few pieces that simply don't fit with our style of play.

Would make D'Angelo and especially Clarkson look a million times better. I'm sick of seeing our guards getting guys like Trob and randle wide open jumpers and them letting the opposing defenses off the hook. It's just too predictable. Clarkson played pnr basketball almost on par with cp3 when he had Ryan Kelly stretching the floor a couple years ago.

Precisely what ive been wondering. The way the Rockets just let him off the hook was very intriguing. He failed to pass a physical that nixed the Detroit trade. I just don't see why HOU would match if his back issues were that bad.

I think the reason not to sign him if they want to, is decide who to waive or pull the trigger on a potential trade that frees up a roster spot.

With it becoming public they were impressed, can't see why we don't sign him. Could def work out if he's making shots

This might be a favor for his agent anymore than a sign we're about to sign him.

The fact that we took a look at him a few days ago, he impressed, but let it go public before closing the deal seems like we're not looking to rock the boat.

Considering how none of our bigs can shoot consistently, it's surprising we've even won as many games as we have. That's probably also why we've lost lately. Not enough varying talents in our offense.

he's probably the best post scorer and shooter in 4/5 position for the Lakers.
