Drummond deserves it but in fairness he's really just a elite role player who is going to be as good as the teammates you put around him.

The only thing elite about Dre's game is rebounding, which is not dependent on teammates.

bull, if you look for him and set him up he's a elite role player. His motor is crap but when he's engaged and getting fed off his teammates he's about the best you can get in that garbage big man role.

Drummond is supposed to be our STAR player...

Says who? He is who he is. Great rebounder / good garbage guy with iffy defense and horrible FT's. You can't look at his contract and expect more. That's what a young big with an all star game on his resume is going to get.

People talking like our D would be amazing if you swapped him for an average center when our perimeter guys are giving up wide open threes or getting blown by on every possession. Sorry, a prime KG down low isn't fixing that.

Nah every statistic says this team even last year is good at forcing mid range jumpers but when guys get in the paint they score at a high rate cause Drummond provides no rim protection.

If I recall correctly, Dre had one of the highest FG%s allowed at the rim when compared to other starting centers in the league. Especially when you name 10 centers last year.

IDK, I'm done trying to make excuses for Drummond. I know he's better then this though but he's going to have to start to prove it to everyone cause he's in his 5th year now.

You're right even watching this game you can tell I mean even guys like KCP, Reggie, and Tobias were trying to protect the rim more than Andre.

This team is still a lot better then this though. I think this shows why it's so hard to win with a young team unless you have some stars mixed in somewhere. We fall apart mentally and don't have that veteran type of leadership. Too young, dumb and immature to play good consistently.

I was wondering why the hell out crowd doesn't boo these guys. Can't hear anything on tv but hopefully being there you can.

Not deafening boos but, in a depressed stadium with depressed fans like this game, the players know. They collect their millions and go home.

Seats were right near the tunnel, you've never seen a happier guy to be down at the half then Dre.

Pathetic, surprised he wasn't doing his little shoulder shake on his way back to locker room.

Dre should realize that he doesn't impact the game at all offensively and he should focus only on defense and rebounding, can't stand him chucking up hook shots and act like a child when they don't go in

While the sulking after a miss drives me absolutely crazy, do people on here really think that Dre getting a few post touches per game isn't a part of Stan's gameplan? That this is all Andre going rogue, forcing his teammates to give him the ball and taking a bunch of shots that no one wants him taking?

Whether we think it's right or wrong, I think it's clear that Stan likes to try to establish some semblance of an inside game to get his perimeter guys a little space. Assuming this is just some realization that Dre and his "ego" need to make is misguided imo.

It's frustrating. Last year was kind of enjoyable and I really didn't think that a step back would be an option. But here we are, heading to lottery.

What are we on pace for this year? 33-37 wins?

Drummond and SVG are hot garbage.

Getting dre the ball down low is absolutely part of the game plan. Unfortunately, Dre rarely does the work up front to get good post position. He ends up in no man's land - too far for an easy post move and too close to get any space by putting the ball on the floor. With his strength and quickness, there really is no excuse for that. It he put forth consistent effort, he'd easily get a dozen high quality post touches each night.

If we want the changes we feel we need, the Pistons have to get bombed these next couple of games. The schedule is brutal and we look like trash but this team tries when it wants then will happily lose to scrubs (I guess we're technically scrubs as well).

The worst thing for this team is to go 3-2 over the next 5 or something to that effect, giving SVG the hope that we can power through. It's clear that last year was an anomaly with a thousand new players in a new system. The league knows you stop Reggie and Dre (not hard to do) and we die.

We have no superstars, no stars (the league hasn't figured this out about Dre yet) and run an offense that's outdated and not fit for our players.

This season is slipping away, I hope it's over in a few weeks and SVG sits in his office and picks up the phone.

Under 50% in the next 12 games stretch and we finally can hope SVG aborts this mess.

And don't think I'm some Pistons troll, no one on this board is despite their views. If you post on here, you're clearly a diehard fan. I'm just monumentally disappointed with this team which I feel begins with Reggie and Dre and their attitude.

Would be less disappointing solely because I'd know they tried as hard as they could.
