Knicks - Hawks PG: Rose doesn't know how to play PG

There are a couple of teams now (and a good ones), where first options are guys who were barely cracking 10ppg in their sophomore year.

But guys are going on KP, who is scoring 20pgg, is constantly making a big plays in the clutch, that he doesn't have it as alpha

He's ahead of the curve. The fact that there are already these discussions about him and two perennial all-stars kind of speaks to how fortunate we are.

KP's been a horribel FT shooter all year not surprised he missed one.

He's shooting close to 75% which is simply unacceptable.

Unaccaptable according to what effed up logic? 75% is a good percentage. Yeah, I guess he could shoot it at 80%, 85%, or 90%. Give it some time, he'll be a consistently good free throw shooter throughout his career. I knew he was going to miss at least one, it's the toughest situation in a basketball game, down 3, with 3 free throws. Not sure what the completion percentage is, but it would shock me if it's higher than 60% (I mean if more than 60% of the time they make all three). Tough loss, unfortunately.

he's a great shooter. 75% is pretty mediocre for such a great shooter. I am pretty sure he considers it unacceptable. He was 84% last year. He should never be below 80% with his touch.

Jeff calls the plays... so whatever goes **** for us, its more on him than anyone else on the team

This board is just looking for someone to target to release some stress. Rose deserves some of it today, but the main issue is ACCOUNTABILITY from the franchise. It goes way beyond the team and floor play. Spurs, warriors, cavs(post lebrons return) set standards for their players and coaches. It seem like we have none. The cavs can take Shump and a nutcase in JR and make them champions and keep them within what the team wants. We have to build culture. And it neeeds
To happen quick before Kristaps(the future) picks up some bad habits that might be hard to fix later.

Maybe if you did not have such tunnel vision and think that that last play is the only aspect of the game you would understand what people mean. the game should have not even come down to that play if KP goes harder in the second. This game was in the bag if he plays better the whole second half. You can be blind to that fact it won't change the fact that he needed to play better the second half. You can't just be super aggressive when its team like PHX. Its the only time I seen KP want to be a killer.

Me personally. the FT with KP don't even bother me. What Bothers me is his overall play in the second half. He steps up the whole half and we win the game with no OT. At some point without Melo he must find a way to do so, thats when he will really turn a huge corner.

Yea, I really don't trust him creating his own offense. I think he's not confident in that area as well, hence all the jump passing tonight.

He's pretty good off the catch though, which is why we need to get him the ball in motion or in open spot ups.

Whatever "system" Hornacek has us running is goddamn garbage. Most of the game we just stand around watching one guy ISO or run a two-man game that goes absolutely nowhere. Many times we don't even start a damn play still there's 13-14 on the clock. We desperately need significantly more player and ball movement throughout the shot clock.

A.) Hornacek's offensive system is fine. We have the 13th best offense in the league while starting Joakim Noah.

B.) It will be hard to get higher than that without a real playmaker at the PG spot.

Frustrating thing is stars needed to align for us to lose tonight and it happened, Lee got injury out of nowhere, Melo decided to go berserk out of nowhere, Rose channeled his inner Toney Douglas and Horny deiceded it was better to play Vujashİt Lance over Baker Kuz while choosing miss ft rebounds over 3 point attempts
