Wonder if something like Smart + 2019 LAC pick would be on the table. Smart/Zeller/LAC pick for Okafor/Zeller maybe?
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Watford/Barlow/Walker
Embiid/Drummond/Bona/Broome

I don't think you can get Smart alone, much less Smart and a 1st for Okafor. Danny Ainge is waiting for somebody good, to become available. Okafor doesn't do anything to help the Celtics get better. Feinstein said it best last week. 'The 76ers best bet is to go to a terrible team that is desperate enough they may be willing to gamble that Okafor has some upside talent that they can unlock'.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Yeah I think if you trade him at the deadline last year (as was allegedly on the table before Jerry Colangelo shut it down) you could have gotten a good first for him. But now I think you're lucky to get a pick in the 20s for him. I think if a mid-first was on the table he'd already be gone, whether they want to sign Noel long term or not.

Sucks that this is the case, but there has been a big enough sample size that the statistics are becoming more and more clear:

We are significantly worse when Okafor is on the floor and we are significantly better when he is off.

Do any Prokafors have any reason on why this is?

yes. OK4 is trying too hard to be a team player this year, making the extra pass to the open man, who always turns out to be Covington (or one of our other perimeter clankers the opposition gladly slack off of).

Ok. So what was the reason last year then?

Didn't you hear? It's because Embiid is superhuman and makes everyone better... except Okafor apparently.

we sucked. no backcourt. Jah and Noel had no chemistry. yet Jah looked a whole lot better last year, playing selfish. (now imagine Jah getting the same kind of touches he had last year, but throwing the ball back out to Thomas and Bradley for open looks. with Crowder and Smart playing defense on the perimeter.)

Okafor looked bad last year too. Just because he looks worse this year doesn't mean he looked good last year. He had the same flaws. Do you actually think he's been good for us? Who do you think is better between Okafor and Noel?

I'm pretty mehkafor but I don't see any reason to trash him. He's good at some things and bad at some things, and in any case he needs to evolve his game on both ends of the court to be a good NBA player. Right now he's not very good, but he should be ablt to get better

This year he's clearly been too passive--whether at Brown's insistence or his own--and we also know he's probably not a hot trade commodity. He looks like a forgettable player at the moment, so why not just let him hang around, work on his game, and hopefully be something worth talking about in a year or two?

So let me get this straight... in order for Okafor to be good, he needs to be the first option on a team full of star or borderline star perimeter players who can all shoot, pass, feed the post, and play lockdown defense to cover for his deficiencies.

Am I reading this right?

Yes. You are reading that right. Makes perfect sense, right?

well, how about he at least needs an adequate back court that's maybe developing. he's got deficiencies that need to be covered, so he best limit himself to team sports.

that's tough. depends on the team. and with Embiid, it could be that neither fit. but for sure, Okafor fits a traditional model of bigs pounding the paint. i see him more with Danny or Pops. or maybe the Knicks in Phil's triangle; those are the 3 who are rumored to have shown interest. Noel is better on a fleet squad with a lot of transition ball and plenty of outside shooting. GSW? Blazers? Lakers? (though what big doesn't do better with sharpshooters?)

Players who can shoot the three well, lock down the perimeter, amd gave good enough ball skills to be good passers amd post facilitators are, at minimum, borderline all-stars in today's NBA. You grossly underestimate their value.
