Ugh, I just wanna see cam play!
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

Gee I hope not. If Steven gets in foul trouble or ejected, Memphis will pnr us to death with Conley/gasol on kanter.

Victor is getting close it appears. I hope he will be back by the Milwaukee game next Monday. He and Payne might return the same game since they are participating in practice again.

This will be a real test going against the 2nd best defense in the nba. :-? I wouldn't be surprised if Russ has a really difficult game between Tony Allen hounding him and the paint being clogged. Marc Gasol also won't allow Steven to just roll to the rim all game like whiteside did. Going to need good contributions from Jerami, Joffrey, Abrines, Domantas to be able to win.

Well Conley is out so he won't be a problem. Westbrook just needs to play smart, controlled basketball. Hopefully he doesn't attempt a ton of threes tonight. Just play solid defense and get your points on the offensive end. This should be a pretty straight up game. Help off of Tony Allen and give Gasol fits. Get rebounds and run hard in transition. Lots of high screen and roll action with Adams/Westbrook to get Gasol out of the paint to take away his rebounding presence. Get Sabonis some good open looks from 3. I want to continue to see heavy minutes for Grant tonight.

I'm not watching right now because I'm watching Arkansas work on blowing a 24-0 halftime lead in their bowl game. But looking at the boxscore and Russ already has five turnovers. What's going on?

Its not pretty but its never pretty when you play the Grizzlies. I hope Westbrook keeps his calm and we are OK.

I assume Russ getting fouled like 3 times without actually getting the call which is the only reason why he didn't get that tech.

6 turnovers, 0 assists for Russ in the 1st quarter. Ugly.

We've looked pretty bad from what I've seen. I started watching a few minutes into the second quarter, and it's been some really ugly, bad basketball from our guys tonight.

Getting blown out by the Grizzlies without Conley.

Turning into an awful sports day for me. Arkansas was up 24-0 at halftime in their bowl game but their currently losing 35-24 in the 4th quarter, and the Thunder are getting blown out by the Mike Conley-less Grizzlies at halftime.

Sigh well... theres always the 2nd half. Memphis gameplan is just to stop Steven and Russ and its working like a charm. Morrow is reaching Singler levels of ineffectiveness. Collison has been the most steady contributor tonight. Let this game be a reminder of the importance of Victor. Yeah we won some games without him and the bench played well, but they are back to earth against a good defense. They look just as bad as they did against Utah and Portland.

Somebody other than Russ is going to have to do something & everybody is playing with no effort. AMo has been absolutly awful, Gasol has stopped Adams from doing much & he isn't making his FTs, & outside of Kanter making some shots I can't remember the bench really doing anything.
