Thanks for the honesty.MorbidHEAT wrote:My dislike for Lin started during Linsanity. It was absurd. It's probably irrational dislike at this point, but man he gets on my nerves. He's been tearing us up though.

they suck if you make them play half court. we didnt do that last time. we turned it over and gave them tons of free points. if we dont turn it over more then 8-10 times i think we win

We're dead last in the league in turnovers per game. Don't hold your breath.

And it isnt even the kids that are the main culprits. Lin, Lopez, Skill, Booker and Bogs are giving up 11 turnovers a game. Thats completely unacceptable.

Just looking at turnovers as a stat by itself is misleading. For instance Harden and Westbrook lead the league in turnovers at around 5.5 a game and John Wall is averaging 4.4. They also all average around 10 assists a game. High turnovers can show a player is aggressive and if their assist to turnover ratio is 2 to 1 or better then they are doing more good than harm.
That being said the team definitely needs to cut down their turnovers. A lot of passes are telegraphed which the coaching staff should be able to work with the players to correct. The pace of play also contributes to turnovers - the faster you play the more turnovers you will have. Another thing is when someone gets a rebound they should look to get the ball to the PG not try to take it coast to coast.

Harden scores 29 a game on all-time great level efficiency
Westbrook leads the league in scoring.
its a really bad comparison to say turnovers are ok because those guys turn it over alot. and its just raw turnovers, those guys both play insane minutes with top 5 usage rates.
no one on this team scores 30 a game and we cant afford to turn it over since we have no great offensive players to make up for it.
