A helluva lot more than what the T&T posters are offering

I'm just kind of wondering if that was before or after his benching and if his benching was a result of those comments to an extent. I'm also a little surprised no mainstream media outlet would have something on it.

A helluva lot more than what the T&T posters are offeringI guess the question is what are your team needs and what other players would/should be included in any trade with him to help balance your roster? Is denver trying to make the playoffs this year?

GlenRiceARoni wrote:He's a good enough defender to carve out a large bench role or a Mozgov type starting role somewhere.
However, he's going to command a rather large salary and given that he's completely unplayable with your franchise player (Jokic) it's time to move him while he has some trade value.
GlenRiceARoni wrote:Jokic is a terrific offensive player but he's somewhat difficult to build a team around due to him not being able to play center defensively.
GlenRiceARoni wrote:This means if the nuggets want to build a winner around Jokic they have to pay the utmost attention to roster construction. They dont have the benefit of just throwing a few talented players around him and that translating to wins. They will need to be intentional with their player selection.
GlenRiceARoni wrote:Nurkic will clearly command too large of a long term salary than he has value for the Nugs. Move on before you get nothing for him.

Yes Denver is trying to make the playoffs this year, if they are looking for anything it is going to be a package deal bringing back a clear upgrade at PF or PG, or a Nurkic for a young high potential SF or likely lotto pick.

Anything from the Hawks interest you?
Unfortunately, he's about the only one of much interest and even there, he's old enough that he'll be out of his prime before our youth is in their prime. Most of your players don't fit or are just too old, compared to our youth. Chandler at SF is as good as our better than your players of similar age (more or less). I just don't know.

Millsap was discussed during the off-season - he'd be worth a lot of assets.Unfortunately, he's about the only one of much interest and even there, he's old enough that he'll be out of his prime before our youth is in their prime. What is the fit issue? Style of play? too many players requiring the ball to be effective? Too many at 1 position?
I understand the older vs young player part.

GlenRiceARoni wrote:The nuggets have a good young core the real question is do you continue to let Mudiay try to work through his "growing agonies"? (pains doesn't seem like a strong enough word). If the answer is yes you blow it up because he's still a few years away from leading a competitive team even if he keeps developing.
If it was up to me I'd blow up the Chandler/Faried pairing, dumped nurkic and build a squad around Jokic instead of gunning for this 8 seed. I mean interest in the team and ticket sales are already awful.
That gives you time to figure out what you've got In Mudiay and Murray without sacrificing your draft capital.
Hernangomez looks as good as advertised. Barton is a nice bench player and Harris is one of the brightest young perimeter players in the league.
Personally I'd dump Gallo because of his injury history and the fact that he doesn't fit your time line very well but I can understand why they'd hang onto him.
People just don't realize how young this Denver team truly is.
