He played PG growing up and seems to have very good court vision and very good instincts. I think he has quite a few strengths such as running the floor, perimeter defense, blocking shots, and making steals, and he even did well rebounding and didn't foul too much in this last game. Last season he may not have been known for his passing and ballhandling but he didn't get much of an opportunity, nor has he this season so far.

That footage is literally like 6 plays though, IIRC, most of which were fairly routine NBA passes (though not for 7 footers!). He seemed to me more like a guy that could read the floor but would need some time to fit that in with his different scoring tools--which should eventually be spot-ups, fake and drive, pull-ups, etc. But I also felt he was not close to NBA speed at most things, and was thus an interesting prospect that you had to look at and say 'he's really big and can definitely do a bunch of basketball things, wonder what he'll actually look like as a player in a few years?' Just saying, I'm not sure he NEEDS to play right now, so long as he's working hard the rest of the time getting himself closer to being his best self somewhere down the line.

No, I such MUCH more footage of uncanny passes that were very surprising to me. I tried to do a quick search on youtube to find the ones I had posted on our draft thread, and could maybe find them later, but there was far more evidence than what you suggest. Of course the nba speed wasn't there, just as it isn't for any prospect.

Buddy is getting better. It looks like all he needed to get his 3 point shot going was a little confidence. Shooting 48% from 3 in December. If the day comes where defenders start having to treat him like he's one of the 5 best 3 point shooters in the NBA, it's all over. The rest of his game will blossom from there.

Currently all his baskets are 3s and transition layups but that's a good starting point, he's really fast.

Bender finally showing sign of life, and a glimpse of his enormous potential. Hopefully he'll get solid playing time the rest of the way.

Hield and Murray almost identical #s across the board now, but Hield is trending up while Murray is trending down. Obviously Murray is 4 years younger so likely has more upside, but it appears that if things keep trending this way, Hield will end up with the better year and is more ready now, which is what AD needs.

Embiid with 23, 6, 5 to go along with 2 steals and 3 blocks. 12-14 FT's.

Saric goes for 13, 11, and 5.

Brogden, 15pt, 12 assists, 11 boards.

Best rook in his draft class. Clearly.

Brogdon easily playing the best ball out of anyone in this draft class so far. The other thing is, I'm not sure there is more than say 8-9 guys that have a higher potential than him. What a freaking steal.

Yes, looking good, though some haven't gotten as much playing time as they should. But yes, a steal.

Brogdon is a good example of why you should play more than one year of college basketball (unless you're a rare transcendent superstar talent of course).

He's very composed, he's strong, and he's smart as hell. You can just tell he's been well coached, he understands the game. He's been a joy to watch this season.

Brogdon is the best player from the draft class SO FAR. Don't get so defensive. Everybody knows he's an older player and others are projects. It's still super impressive for a 2nd rd pick. Don't know if it's happened before. There's still almost always some prodigy or older rook from the 1st who trumps the contributions of the standout 2nd rounder.

When talking about Embiid not including his TOs makes you look extremely biased. For good or bad, in his case, it's a must stat since it's his biggest weakness so far.

Ignoring that his defender was Shabazz Napier, this move is pretty slick.
