GT: Hornets vs Cavs Sat Dec 31 7PM EST

Post#1 » by fatlever » Fri Dec 30, 2016 11:35 pm

Couldn't ask for a bigger game - Lebron in town on a Saturday night that also happens to be New Years Eve.

Can Kemba break the streak vs Lebron - 0-for-career - something like 23 straight losses vs Lebron?

Where will the Cavs party for NWE? Will they stay in Charlotte to ring in the new year (doubtful)? Party on the plane? Party once they get home to Cleveland? Or fly somewhere else entirely after the game?

First two games of the year vs Cavs our sub patterns have really hurt us. Lebron stays in with Cavs bench to start the 4th, we usually have 4 bench players and MKG/Batum or all 5 bench players at that time. Both times that stretch has buried us.

Lebron as a player/coach has been outsmarting opposing coaches like this for several years. Lebron doesn't sub in and out of games systematically. Sometimes he come out of games for just 2 minutes around the 6 minute mark and finish off the final 4 minutes against backups just to get a edge. If there's one player that has made a career off of creating mismatches and disadvantages it is Lebron. Gotta be the smartest in-game player to ever do it.

Seems the Cavs player Lebron early in the 4th hoping to get a big enough lead to rest him in garbage time. In games where the score is close, he goes the entire 4th Q and you get a game like last night where he played 44 minutes. We don't really have the luxury of playing all our big guns early in the 4th in hopes of garbage time. However, there should be some kind of wrinkle to deal with the Lebron + bench unit.

Perhaps in this game, not having Marco will lead to MKG playing to start the 4th. That might help slow Lebron down some, yet not sure any MKG+bench unit can score enough to hang with a Lebron unit.

Last game vs the cavs i was certain CHA could have won, cliff was just too conservative with his sub patterns. bron was entering in and out of the game too fast for him to adjust, also marvin was out right? It wasn't as bad as the raptors game which they should have won, that was a worst loss. (without mkg or marvin? 40 burger from kemba)

Does Kyrie being out give us a chance?

Vegas says yes!

Lebron loves playing here in front of MJ, I remember that game with Miami where he was hitting shots from everywhere, it was ridiculous

LeBron said a few days ago all he wants for Christmas is to stop being compared to Jordan.

He's dropping 50 tonight in front of him

Yeah, happy New Year to those if you from the future. I figure the GT will be dead tonight, as most people are out paying way too much for their dinner, drinks and rides home. Boring 'ol me settled in for a lazy night at home. Got my Hornets, several movies to watch and delicious prime rib lunch awaits tomorrow.

Cavs are starting Jordan McRae and Andre Liggins. If we don't win then either we suck or LeBron's the GOAT

Stat of night - Lebron is 41-6 vs Charlotte in his career, 25 of last 26. See, those old Bobcats teams from the early days weren't scared to beat some good teams. Then again, that was when Lebron just played on really good teams, not unfair super-teams.

Home made nacho's, an open fireplace, Hornets basketball and then Ace Ventura and Wayne's World is our NYE plan.

I had to google Catherine Tramell. Had no idea that was Stone's character's name from Basic Instinct. I saw that movie in the theater.

My new favorite internet game

Log on to Zillow to find the perfect old funky Victorian House
- Parameters set as price between 500K to 15mil, built between 1850 and 1940
- Pick random cities and see what pops up
