The only difficult part is figuring out what it would take to give up. He's only a year removed from being a top-10 pick but with a low salary.

I think the whole Larry loves WCS thing was a ropadope! Bird wanted Turner but didn't want to tell anyone. WCS may be pretty good defensively but he's a bus as an offensive player.

WCS reminds me of how Tyson Chandler came out of high school and straight to the pros in 2001. Like WCS, Chandler was well scouted as a defender and rebounder. Like WCS however, Chandler's offense was limited to putbacks and dunks when available. When Chandler was in Chicago, he criticized the way his former coaches would easily be frustrated with his progression as a player that he lost confidence in himself.

Once he was traded to New Orleans and was coached by Byron Scott and playing alongside CP3, Chandler's career finally took off. He would find himself having some plays called for him mostly off pick and rolls. Nonetheless, if WCS is traded to a system that fits his skills set to where he can improve on both ends of the floor, he could be another Tyson Chandler in the making.

Would you guys have any interest in trading for Okafor without moving George or Turner? I think that could be a fearsome front line.

For me, overall, it's hard to say no. Young, inexpensive talent like that is such a prize. Not sure how much it moves the needle, since defense is the issue not offense.

I'd be very interested, but I'm higher on Okafor than most. I posted a proposal in the offers for Okafor thread, was something like:

GRIII, Stuckey, future 1st with Miles to a third team for a late first for Okafor and Bayless.

A few Sixers fans responded and said they'd be in favor of it. I'd prefer to keep GRIII and that the pick isn't next year's, but think that shifts the value too far to us and you have to give up something to get something.
