Deep, I've wanted Tony Allen here since he started in the league. Personally, I'd look to trade both Lou and JC in two separate trades. We need defense, not dribbling, and neither of these two chuckers play defense.

Regarding BI, agreed that he's ready to start.

Sooo..do we still have a chance to sneak in the playoffs or do we reluctantly start the TANK?

I'm not sure that everyone is attempting. Having said that this game against this team isn't the best barometer to use. Toronto has an historically great offense.

Tanking is still a statistically unwise option.
1st off, we can't just get that pick back from Philly, second if Fultz was there for us it would mean we lucked the F out and got #1
By far the mostly likely tank scenario is we have an awful year again, teach the kids to lose, and we get NOTHING

People need to come to grips on the tanking issue. We currently have a 4.3% chance of taking that pick and tanking is competitive these days, so making up 4 games with the roster and coach we have is NOT going to happen.

I agree, I think a lot of us were fooling ourselves thinking this was a winnable game. Im happy we kept it competitive for 3qs with this roster

Part of the deal would have to include one of the kids at less to make it happen, we would trade young or Lou as well. If we tank hard like last year we could do it. Risky yes, but it could be franchise changing.

So you are down with a 85% chance of failure to follow in Sam Hinkie's model that was so successful and just hope that we luck into a generational player?

Explain what happens to team development of the 6 young guys we already have please.

continually tanking to draft more unproven 19 year olds is a crap shoot. The last 5 drafts have produced maybe 2 or 3 true franchise players who will be important parts of very good teams. The odds of picking the right 19 year old that can adjust to the NBA game is higher than most think. Philadelphia has been doing this for 6 or 7 years now and they are still at the bottom. They have taught their young talent to lose.... year in and year out. Falling into that trap is a road to nowhere.

We need more pieces and patience. See if we can get a pick or two in the next draft with Young and Williams. Then wait another year to see if any of our youngsters meet the lofty expectations. If not then we at least have currency to go and get proven talent.

We're talking about JC because the bench unit which had been our strength early on is now being exposed...that's why we're talking about him. He get's lit like a christmas tree game after game, we can't or at least I won't give him a reprieve just because he check Cory Joseph.
