I don't get how he is conceding? He is calling these guys out for being terrible defenders, that's why he's saying that maybe they need to try "gimmicky" things, talking about zone defense.

"I need to find somebody to play defense".

He's just saying what everybody here is, just not mentioning any names. There was a reporter who actually said in a question "and your star player doesn't show up", trying to get it out of him but Hornacek went around it.

"Chasing a guy through a screen isn't a defensive scheme, it's effort".

"I don't know, is it conditioning? You gotta be in shape to put forth that kind of effort".

He's not using Morse code, he's saying it in plain English

Mike Breen has been doing it since he arrived with D'antoni as the coach. Now he and Clyde have been calling him out every game, whether it be from him taking unnecessary shots, or by shooting over double-teams and sometimes triple-teams.

You cant overcome bad defensive players. Out of our starting lineup, we have poor defenders at 1, 3, 4 (if KP is the 4 because he can't guard 4s) and 5 (Noah starting to play a bit better but really doesn't protect the rim).

Eh none of this is happening but Melo actually fits them very well with Blake as a FA with all sorts of lower leg injuries...don't think it's that farfetched.

Noah is not a positive asset. WE have to attach assets to him in order to get rid of him.

Get a decent 5 behind porzingis and he'll be able to guard the four better as he won't have to chat towards the basket. Better defensive schemes should be able to disguise the lack of defense of two positions.
