We would definitely not be worse off with them in place of Melo. I truly think we could win a lot of games with Tyson Chandler, Gall or Chandler and a guy like Barbosa. I have no idea how we get all of them. However, I'd like to figure out a way to get rid of Melo and Lance with those type of players in return.

LOL @ calling Denver on Chandler and Gallo to replace Melo.

That would certainly give a special meaning to the idiom: "coming full circle."

I never said to trade him back. There are creative ways to structure deals. 3 team trades? 4 team trades? Trading KOQ and Lance for one of them, then shipping Melo elsewhere. There's ways. However, I'd rather have one of them over Rudy Gay. Not many good players are available.

Melo has been a loyal, ride or die type of guy during his Knick career. IMO he believes retiring a Knick with the accolades he has already received should put him on some kind of totem, leaving will tarnish that. I don't think he will get it, even the boos and criticism, he takes it really well because he believes it comes with the territory of playing in NYC.

It will be his wife that will have to get him to realize he is no longer getting the tough love New York is known to give, it is turning into full on hate, it will make walking on the street and going places tough, the heckling, the comments....they are coming. It will be up to his family to get through to him.

Idk man, it can great really ugly. NYC made Marbury leave the country. Calderon was on the verge of tears last year. When the fanbase turns, it affects the player.

Yes, Melo's inner circle has to see the writing on the wall. I think Melo may be a little slow on the uptake so he won't believe it will happen until it is too late. So his confidantes and advisors will tell him it is time to move on. Whether he will listen is another matter.

but it is coming. What I've said is mild compared to what Melo will feel when 5,000 people are going boo at the same time. He won't handle it well. Better that he departs before it happens, because you can count on it happening if he stays.

Yep, wow. It's going to be sad to see though.
But New York fans can be brutal regardless who it is.

Sht, Yankee fans have booed Mariano and Jeter, when they have under performed for stretches.

You can see the mood of the team is bad and nobody is talking because it has to do with Melo...everyone is hinting to him "we need to share the ball" "we need to play harder on defense" etc. You can see the frustration on the team.

It's bitter sweet for me because after fighting for so long with people here about how we should tank, I accepted we weren't and actually believed we could be ECF/Finals contenders this year...sucks, but I was right all along.

Melo is one stubborn SOB tho...the only way he requests a trade is if we continue to lose, and the fans get on him hard during home games.

It's up to us to run him outta town...don't let up on the booing every single home game when he touches the ball. Even start "trade Carmelo" chants.. It's the only way.

Solomon Hill scored 8 points in 30 seconds against parking cone Melo to put the Pels game away after the bench had made it a game. He gives zero ****.

Exactly. Ewing got a lot of hate, ARod got crushed, Isiah tried to commit suicide, Marbury's career imploded and he left the country and Calderon looked like he was being tortured by the end of last season.

I bought into the hype too. Rose's superteam confidence, Lee's 50 wins prediction, Jennings talking wise, Phil talking about these veterans were going to "activate" the team, Noah the "caged animal"

The only thing being activated are these guys' AARP memberships :eek2:

Yup because CP3 is a big time winner in this league. Shipping the players we did for Melo wasn't the problems all the moves after were.

Didn't it all start from emptying house for melo to begin with
