do you have links? wanna see it.
I didn't see that , Did that really happen ? It goes to show you that everyone is getting frustrated .And it needs to stop .We bring in players ship them out and still the struggles continues .Yet no one can see that we have a serious problem ?Like I said either bench melo. I do think it will be good for him .Sometimes you need your ego to get bruised alittle to make you gain perspective about how you're playing as a leader how much you can effect a team when you just don't care enough . When does it start bothering melo ?

Melo is one stubborn SOB tho...the only way he requests a trade is if we continue to lose, and the fans get on him hard during home games.
It's up to us to run him outta town...don't let up on the booing every single home game when he touches the ball. Even start "trade Carmelo" chants.. It's the only way.
Yeah that's a great way to attracted future FA's....
Not only that, but the 7 year clock (2 more rookie contract years + 5 year reup) starts for Porzingis' departure from NY, no way will he want to stay in a place that would do that to his friend and a hometown guy. If NY fans would do that to one of their own, then why not him? No one wants to play for a fan base like that. Unless we won a championship on that timeframe, he likely jumps ship elsewhere.
Oh please... like I said.. it's been done before. And maybe if he wasn't hijacking our team refusing to leave, we wouldn't have to boo him out of the building. Anybody with a brain wouldn't hold it against Knick fans for doing that... we've been booing him already, so what's the problem?

Definitely Lee.
Noah doesn't care. Got paid and is home. He is already in hasbeen territory.
Lee also gave up money. He had a higher offer from Charlotte and ironically, they ended up being the better team.
I can't blame him. Lee's been on so many teams, he knows how they operate...and I bet he figured that since we're filled with veterans that he wouldn't have to deal with this kind of drama. It's really circus-level at this juncture.

hornacek isn't the problem, give him a young squad and not an ego centric player like melo and rose.

Hornacek had a below .500 record in Phoenix and now in NY but no he isn't the problem. I guess another 30 games is what it will take to show he isn't the right fit for this team.

I am disappointed in Jeff you have to pull Melo after that. Can't let that stuff slide. Have to treat everyone the same and send a message.

Why? Get Melo off the team and it is yours to rebuild.

Cut his playing time.
The team's moral is at a season low as it is. If you cut Melo's minutes, that locker room is going to be a mess.
Not sure how Phil, Steve, and Jeff are going to handle this.
The locker room is probably already a mess. That's why Melo appears to be not engaging with his teammates on the court or on the bench.
I'm surprised no one is saying it, but I can easily see Noah like Alien with his teeth next to Melo's temple with glycerin drool dripping down as he snarls "when are you going to start defending MF'er" and Melo doing his best Sigourney Weaver impersonation as Noah's teeth extend and snap in the cold locker room air

im shocked the team collapsed this early. everyone plays with IDGAF attitude
Nah, I saw them fight and fight vs. Atlanta, and I actually thought that demoralized them because Atlanta did everything they could to lose, but we still couldn't get the win. Then they laid down for the Pelicans, Jeff was lifeless in the 2nd half, and it's really been all downhill since. With Jeff's comments on how Melo was being choked, with him threatening the vets on their minutes...and now saying they just ain't good enough, aw shucks...
it's all falling apart

Melo has the franchise hostage thanks to Phil's stupidity.

Doesn't matter that is how you lose a team and respect of players.

FemaleDogPlease wrote:drekwins wrote:FemaleDogPlease wrote:
Carmelo is not LeBron.
Carmelo is not a PG.
Why would Carmelo make Billups better?
Because the PG doesn't have the ball in his hands the entire possession? The PG isn't supposed to do all of the creating... stars do... regardless of their position. They create double teams via the post, by driving or off of the pick and roll, then the offense flows. You don't think that Duncan made Tony Parker better? KG/Pierce didn't make Rondo better? Anthony Davis doesn't make Holliday better? Great players make EVERYONE better including the PG. Even Amare made Nash and Felton better. Dirk made Nash and Terry better. There are so many countless examples.
Also, all you got out of my post was that Melo is not LeBron? Either you didn't read it or you didn't comprehend the point. The point is that good all-around basketball players figure it out. True leaders incorporate everyone and can mesh with different personalities/different talents. Under your theory, it would appear that Melo is simply a finisher... similar to Blake Griffin but in different ways. If so, Melo was never a superstar and he should be extremely easy to let go of at his age/declining skills.
What you fail to realize is that all those failed pairings lacked a true PG in the lineup.
Porzingis and Melo are fine.
Fine? Have you seen their results together. They are supposedly 2 "franchise" players... Yet, they can't win together against some of the worst teams in the league. That is not fine. How many stars do you need to win??? That means that either one or both aren't franchise level guys. Porzingis, being a much better all around player and so young, deserves the benefit of the doubt. Melo, does not. Let's take a look at the FG% of some other wings this year:
DeRozen - 47%
Wiggins - 44.9%
Barnes - 46%
George - 44.4%
Butler - 46%
Durant - 53.7%
Leonard - 46.6%
Jabari - 49.9%
Hayward - 45.2%
Antonionokupo - 53.6%
Gay - 45.5%
Chandler - 44.5%
Harris - 47.5%
Crowder - 48%
Ariza - 43.5%
Harden - 44.5%
Beal - 45.3%
Wade - 43.5%
Oladipo - 45.9%
I even left out LeBron because if he was on this list, the automatic response would be: "Melo isn't LeBron." Melo's best ability is shooting and he's at 42%. WHAT THE HELL IS EVERYONE HOLDING ON TO? There's nothing to contemplate. He is done.
