2016 RealGM MMA Hall of Fame Inductee (Poll)

This is a new category for this year, basically adding one person each year to our version of the MMA Hall of Fame. Doesn't necessarily have to be a fighter, but they do need to be retired (or as close an anyone in MMA can be to retired) from whatever it is that merits their inclusion. So fighters can't still be fighting, announcers can't still be announcing...

If people have a strong opinion for someone that should be added to this list of nominees, please bring it up and maybe they can be added to the mix.

I almost voted for Chuck because I think he ranks the highest on P4P best fighters ever, but Royce Gracie is still probably the first name people think of when they hear MMA (well, UFC at least).

We've done like top 25 (or some other number) lists where you chose someone for each spot and then chose someone to take their place as a nomination.

If people have a strong opinion on someone being nominated next time around, please let it be heard.

Maybe we should just do 4 right now, and then after that is when it gets really interesting each year.

Royce, Liddel, Courture, Hughes are most likely the top 4, I don't think we need to wait 4 years to put them in.
Create a new 5 and we can go from there. We will still never catch up, but we won't have to wait 4 years to make picks interesting

Should be a lot more nominees. Like 20 people that deserve at least consideration.

I agree with you guys here. I think this year we induct 4 people to start and 2 people each year following. This year there will be 15 nominees, with 10 nominees in the years to follow.

Adjusting the poll now with the new nominees as well as the ability to vote for up to 4 of them.

EDIT: The most options you can add to a poll is 10, so we will do 10 nominees this year and all the years to follow.

I went Fertitta, Gracie, Severn and Shamrock. The next group of four i would do would be Couture, Hughes, Liddell and Franklin.
LOL I thought that was Ken Shamrock. That screws up my thinking a little. I would do a group with like Frank, Bas, Sakuraba and Fedor.

I've been called a UFC apologist many times on this board and I'm a huge Mark Coleman fan, but even I don't understand how Big Nog is getting routed like this. I assumed he'd have been one of the 4 to get in.

Don't see what the big deal is. Big Nog retired less than 18months ago. He'll be in there in due time.
