Salary and Roster Information

Post#1 » by Smitty731 » Thu Nov 24, 2016 4:39 am

Hi all!

I've seen a lot of questions around the forums like: "What does our cap situation look like?" or "What FAs are available this summer?" and the like.

Below is a link that will take you to my NBA Salary and Roster Sheets. It has information galore. Hopefully all you could want and more. That document gets updated at least once a week as transactions happen. Please give it a look and hopefully it will be a good resource for you going forward! And don't hesitate to share!

Thanks!

Smitty

PS: Full disclosure: there is a post stickied on the General Board and Trades & Transaction forums with this same information. But I know a lot of people just stick to the team forums, so I wanted to share here as well.

For those with an eye on the offseason!

Two notes:

1. Miami projection is without Bosh and Minnesota is without Pekovic. Both are virtual locks to be removed due to medical situations.

2. Several things have changed due to the new CBA. Cap holds, minimum salaries, maximum salaries, etc. That is all factored in and ultimately adds up to less space than originally thought around the league.

Enjoy!

So within this article, can you break down the numbers on each number for the Suns and the decisions/players who would be involved to impact the numbers? That would be greatly appreciated!

My projections are:

9 Fully Guaranteed contracts: Dragan Bender, Eric Bledsoe, Devin Booker, Tyson Chandler, Marquese Chriss, Jared Dudley, Brandon Knight, Tyler Ulis, T.J. Warren

1 Partial/Non-Guaranteed contract: Leandro Barbosa

3 Cap Holds for FAs: Alex Len (RFA), P.J. Tucker (UFA), Alan Williams (RFA)

2 Players waived: John Jenkins, Derrick Jones

1 Draft Pick Cap Hold: Pick # 4

Add all that up and the Suns are ~$2.2 Million under the $103 million cap.

But...you then add the Non-Taxpayer Exception and the Bi-Annual Exception and that pushes them over the cap by ~$9.4 million.

Obviously, if they makes trades, waive players or renounce players, it all changes.

Hope that helps!
